I think all her albums have some strength....Circus and her first two albums have something of likeable appeal about them but IMO i feel they are her weakest in terms of musical growth and as to what she is capable of.
However For me my favourite Britney album is a 3 way tie between Blackout/In The Zone/Femme Fatale. I believe they are her strongest albums overall and also in my opinion there is nothing that can be considered absolute "filler" material on either album. They have their hit style songs but the whole albums have a flow about them. But if i had to pick a definitive Britney Spears album I would say In The Zone! From a duet with MADONNA! , Prince style sexy grooves, quirky Dance grooves, a song about getting oneself off....twice . Some Trippy songs, some beautiful ballad work, Some Oriental/Ambient influences, and TOXIC!!! In The Zone is indeed an album that boasts it all.

I don't think anything will beat Blackout. It's a masterclass in electropop.

Blackout
To think she did Blackout at a time when no one was doing that music. Bearing in mind that in 2007, it was the year of Timbaland following his productions with own solo album, Nelly furtado's Loose and Justin's second album. Yet five years later, nearly everyone is doing the music she did back then and she still fails to be noticed. Thankfully, fans and critics highly regard the album |

Blackout taught me something I never knew before and that was so many songs are made for an album but they don't all make it. I remember hearing several songs for the album that never made the final cut and even they were impressive.

Blackout was a very impressive era of recording definitely. I would love for them to do either a Britney Bootleg CD of her demos/incomplete songs for Blackout or even mastering what the Original Doll album might have been perhaps...I think it will be an interesting insight.
What i love about Blackout is that it is an album equivalent of Madonnas "Human Nature". Sticking the middle finger up at the media but also having fun with it. Britney Spears Blackout is like a mesh of John Waters Bad Taste combined with a Tarantino style quirky edge musically. Yes a musical irony. And all the songs are great too

If you ask me Britney i know im a fan and all but to me she has NEVER had a Bad Single, she has had some cheesy ones maybe
but still catchy ones As for her Albums: BOMT - well without this she wouldnt be here. OIDIA - Absolute Classic Britney - This is where we began to see Britney have some creativity ITZ - Nothing more to say Amazing Album. Blackout - Well Need i say more other then its her BEST album ever and was imo the best album of 2007 Every song had potential to be a single and thats what made Blackout so god damm catchy and i still play it to this day Circus - Compared to Blackout it was weak BUT after a few listens it actually was Classic Britney coming back. Femme Fatale - This is my top 3 with ITZ and Blackout amazing album uptempo songs where you can just dance till the world ends

So many to choose from. |

Blackout
It was between In the Zone or Blackout and Blackout is excellent all the way through whereas the first has more filler (The Hook Up/Early Mornin'/The Answer) |

Blackout... I struggled deciding between it, ITZ and FF... If you asked me in a few weeks it might have changed, and then a few weeks more, it might be different again... each of those albums has an individual mood to it so whichever mood you're in will decide which you prefer. I'm a bit stressed and muddled lately so the dark, mindf**k vibe of Blackout fits!
![]() Can't believe In The Zone only has 2 hits so far, and Circus has 6! :O Bit shocking. Circus was fun, but ITZ just has more emotion and a deeper meaning (Even though most of it is quite shallow about hooking up with people! )
