Making pizza with puff pastry
My friend said she often made pizza with puff pastry, I asked her how and she said put the toppings on and to bake it like a normal pizza.I did that tonight, I put on leftover bolognese from yesterday, with other veg, topped it off with cheese. The outside edge looks perfect but the bit under the bolognese is still raw! ![]() I googled and it said, bake pastry first for 10 mins before placing topping, I wished I had read that first ![]() Is there anyway of salvaging this apart from the bin? |

If you have a suitable tray or griddle then you can transfer the pizza to that and cook it on the hob. It will cook from the bottom without baking the top.

Do you have a hot iron skillet or something that you could place the pizza on, im sure if you got enough heat under it then it might just make it through OK. However it might have got too soggy and be unable to cook properly now, worth a try.

Done! It was ok in the end as the bottom had cooked in the oven.
Not doing it again, too rich. |

Not sure if you like strong flavours but a famous puff pastry tart is a Pissaladiere.
I've seen it made with puff pastry. It mayve even richer than your pizza though. |
