Yet another awful set-piece from us!

Thank **** Bale is better when playing on the left wing!

Indeed, who'd have thought that Bale was able to whip in such devastating crosses from the left wing! Perhaps Harry should try playing him out on that flank in future games...

Had to laugh at John Champion' comment about the "Brain's Trust" sat on our bench alongside Harry, so many coaches and yet not one who is capable of sorting out our set-piece inadequacies!

It's all sounding pretty irrelevant at the moment. Hope the lad is okay.

At least Muamba is stable but he still remains in a critical condition.

It seems a bit selfish at the moment to start talking about when the re-match will be.

It really doesn't seem to be of any importance at the moment. If he pulls through we can start to think about the game again, but if the worst happens, the FA Cup will be seriously soured, and difficult to get enthusiastic about.

Chelsea drawn for the semi-final should we progress. Liverpool / Everton in the other.

Chelsea and Liverpool both hitting some form which isn't good news for our league position I suppose.

That should of been Liverpool play Everton or Sunderland.

Reports that Bolton may not want to come to WHL for a replay and will pull out of the FA cup.

I can understand Bolton's reticence but it wouldn't seem right us benefiting from a bye in these circumstances.

life has to go on though. it's incredibly sad what's happened and you obviously have to hope that he pulls through but i personally wouldn't have a problem if we went through on a bye.

what would probably be the best compromise is to replay the game as a benefit with the gate money going to his family.

I dont think they will decide until the outlook is clearer, and that is understandable.

I would hate for us to go through on a bye, but it seems hard to expect a replay in the near future if this turns out with the worst outcome for Muamba.

I doubt our players are in a great frame of mind at the moment.

I just hope that the Ref (Mike Jones) and his two assistants keeps Stoke's rough house tactics at set pieces under control.

They could've got away with murder at their place earlier this season and the game and the result was a farce because of weak refereeing.

Indeed. As much as I hate to say it, I wouldn't be entirely surprised to see Stoke take the points because I can't imagine our lot will be that up for it.

Not been able to get on the net since Saturday. So happy that all the signs are good for him at the moment. Very proud to be a part of the fan support at the Lane on Saturday too.

Had we not had any good news, I'd have agreed. But consisdering every update is better than the last, and he is awake, spealing, recognising family etc, I think the players will be boosted by it. Defoe, Benni, Rafa and Gallas particuarly, being the four who seemed most effected by it. I think they'll be up for it, and will want to win for him.

Benny's article:

Saturday was one of those days that will stay with me forever. Then again, I hope it stays with us all. There are some moments that make you look at the world with different eyes. But sometimes in these moments there is a magical power because people connect, people see the human in each other and people feel another person’s pain — or at least take the time to think about it.

I saw a group of people, professionals, who were not caught up in the moment but were only focused. The medics who took care of him along with the medical guys from Spurs and Bolton were focused on Fabrice.

They were not distracted by anything, not even the sort of thoughts that I had in my head. Instead they worked, calmly and professionally, doing the things that had to be done. I am not an expert but seeing what I saw, I know we still have Fabrice with us because of the work of these guys.

But this was only one of the things that have made this difficult moment so powerful and magical. All around me people were praying. People were focused only on Fabrice. When the referee spoke with the two managers about abandoning the game, there was no hesitation. When it was announced to the fans that the game would not continue, there were no complaints.

People who had travelled from far and near were all focused on the wellbeing of Fabrice and nothing else mattered. They silently made their ways out of the stadium.

^Read that yesterday. Awesome article. Didn't think of the time about the Foe connection, I just assumed Benni was friends with Fabrice. He looked to be hit hard by it, so hopefully the good news has cheered him up, and Defoe.

The Cameroon connection did occur to me regarding Foé also Terry Yorath's son's premature death came to mind as well.

To change the subject but still talking of BAE, I discovered today that he has an older footballing brother, Mathieu who currently plays in Belgium but also started at Lens.

Harry's said that any player who isn't in the right frame of my mind can sit out tomorrow's match.
