Celine Dion - the world's biggest-selling artist of the last 20 years - is releasing two new albums this year, as confirmed by the legend herself.

FRENCH ALBUM -

No major details released yet - other than that we should expect a final quarter release [November] and that she's working with the same [or some of the same] writers and producers she worked with during her 90's peak.

ENGLISH ALBUM -

Much more forthcoming with the details, probably due to it being released first:

- She's recording her take on Open Arms, At Seventeen and Ne Me Quitte Pas

- One new song named so far - Always Be My Baby [also RUMOURED to be a contender for the album title]

- She's working with the guy that co-wrote Adele's Someone Like You, as well as a couple of other little known producers

- Scheduled for an April/May release [more likely to be the latter]

- The album will NOT include the re-recorded My Heart Will Go On [that she's recording with a tenor]

Not sure whether there's already a thread. But this could act as the permanent thread for the legend's new albums this year.

Can't wait for these! Celine is a legend, it will be great to have her back in the charts, claiming her rightful place

she is still under contract for two years with her residency in las vegas. apparently she has worked the 70 annual shows around her parenting. maybe, she will tour after that.

It would be so nice to hear some fresh new material from Celine. Her Taking Chances era was ever so underated and proved what a fantastic female artist she truly is following such a long career and proving she still has it.

She's committed to doing little promo stops in between her Vegas shows so she'll be visiting some UK chat shows no doubt

am curious how the material will be like. is it going to be what the radio is trending to?

The usual will happen; Celine hasn't been played routinely by radio since That's The Way It Is in 1999. I mean she still receives some support - mainly from AC radio - IIRC, Taking Chances climbed to over 13m AI on Mediabase [USA]!

But then she's never needed the support of a single to sell albums and maintain her place - despite not managing to score as many #1's as her rivals, she's still managed to sell around 50m worldwide singles.
