Connecting Sky Digital box to DVD recorder

If my Sky Digital box has 2 RF out sockets, can i connect my DVD recorder to the 2nd RF socket if the TV is connected to the 1st one? It says in the book it's for a 2nd TV, but can i connect my DVD recorder to it?

You can but you shouldn't need to, scarts give much better quality.

If your DVDR supports RGB input connect the Sky TV scart to the DVDR input scart, the DVDR output scart to the TV input scart supporting RGB. Make sure that all inputs/outputs on all equipment is set to RGB.

If your DVDR doesn't support RGB then connect Sky TV scart to TV RGB input scart and Sky VCR scart to the DVDR. Again set all inputs/outputs to RGB.

Your TV (terrestrial aerial, assuming you have one) should be connected to the DVDR RF input then on with another cable from the DVDR output to the TV. If in the unlikely event your TV doesn't have scart then connect like this but have the Sky first in the chain.

Thanks. I forgot to add that the Sky would be connected to the DVD by scart aswell as RF. The Sky is connected to the VCR by both RF and scart and i thought it was necessary to do the same with the DVD. I would like to connect everything using scart leads. When i get the DVD set up, i'm not going to have the VCR conected by scart, as i don't have enough scart sockets and i don't want to us a switch box. Besides, the DVD recorder will be used more than the VCR anyway.
