Looks like ASDA have been given a job lot to shift.

Despite this, when I was weighing up my next phone and contract, I found it was generally the same price or slightly cheaper to buy whichever phone outright and stay on my tenner a month Tesco sim only deal, once you factor in the much higher monthly payments.

This way I'm not locked in to a contract or network that might not suit my needs in a year and a half!

Over two years, including sim only and paying for the phone outright, it works out at around 17 quid a month.

I think that's a good deal.
