There's still time for a second single before the album drops, I hope so

Yes, there will be.

Madonna announced on the Ryan Seacrest show the second single lifted from the album is Girls Gone Wild, with the video being shot next week.

YES "girls gone wild" is being shot next week...so I think they will want to release it to radio a week or two prior to MDNA release for radio circulation, televised airplay and when she promotes it she will have it to perform too which will be epic stuff.

Yes for Girls Gone Wild! It was the best out of the snippets, already this album is gonna be better than the Hard Candy campaign!

Definitely, I always felt that while I personally enjoyed HC, the promo campaign was the worst bit about that era tbh. the S&S tour was a record breaker and an immense showcase, but the promo for the album release, the videos...it was all very lazily done i must say.

But with her really working for it and saying to Seacrest she geniunely believes in her album which i havent heard her say since Confessions! Which pretty much confirms that she will definitely push the album out as much as she can I am just glad that Madonna is releasing something solo as a single release which will showcase what she can do as her by herself

she was on kiis fm yesteday talking with ryan seacrest in america. she was in town in my home state of california this week. she was talking about the m.i.a. middle finger. she did also talk about that on the carson daly show the late night one. she was also in town to shoot her next music video called girls gone wild. i do believe it'll be her next single.

I wasn't that keen on the snippet but snippets don't affect my overall opinion.

I love the video to 4 Minutes - better than any Confessions vid bar Hung Up - hated the fact Sorry was a continuation - HATED the cheap ass video to Get Together (in my top 3 M songs ever) and Jump was basically Madonna on a climbing frame with pre-recorded "base jumpers" or whatever the hell they were.

lets face it her current single has flopped so far in the uk and i didn't see that coming. however, she shouldn't just abandon it in favour of singe #2. why doesn't she do some more promotion and try to salvage the song at this early stage? the album will do well despite this, but i cant help thinking she should be doing more about this single.

Won't there be a physical? I'd buy it! But I don't like paying for files.

The record company f#cked up, With the download chart when they, Had buy the album & get the single free, So first week sales of the single got disqualified

To be honest i dont think Luvin needs saving.

It was a song designed for hyped (check that box!) designed for Super Bowl/US audiences (check that box!) and used to endorse the MDNA era (check that box!) so with that it was a success....worldwide charting however not quite as much. So why should Madonna need to promote the song anymore when it has fundamentally done what was required for it to do.

Wild was IMO the song that was originally intended for a lead release by the sounds of what she has hinted and Solveig has pretty much said in recent interviews (though inaccurately) so why should she focus on a song that is already out there and made a dent (if not full on impact) when she can make the next one the real KILLER

We will see, but regardless the music is what i am here for and by the sounds of it...I think she is doing the right thing, always trust what Madonna says/does.

yes, i agree that was an issue. although, it still didn't get into the itunes top 10, even though it was free. that was all only just over a week ago and there is still time to rescue the song should they want to.

Yes, Interscope should be pushing GMAYL. They should be asking why it isn't played on UK Radio. Why they haven't generally told people who buy physicals that it is available to download, they should be releasing a physical copy and advertise it. They could do lots of things to raise the songs profile, but I do get the impression that MDNA will be launched with Girls Gone Wild. This will no doubt do a lot better, especially in the UK where dance music is liked more than in the states.

Yeah, especially with the last comment there. Luvin pretty much focused on America that whole Bowl nature of it and she deserves a real smash over there after the flack of AMerican Life and Hung Up, Sorry, get Together, Jump, 4 Minutes, give it to me all were so underplayed and pretty much ignored for the reasons of American Life alone!

So with this it is like her STateside return if you will with Super Bowl, americanised commercialism. But Wild will generate en masse appeal, Dance music isnt mainstream in America...but with this maybe it can be. And Benny Bennassi has had a massive year in the UK and Euope with mixes and his own songs...and this will be a rare time both brothers are working with Madonna...so cannot wait to hear the results here.

I've said it before, and I'll probably end up saying it again - I think Madonna's days of ruling the singles chart are over.

I think she is now becoming an albums/touring artist. And there's nothing wrong with that - I value album sales much more than singles, and touring is even bigger.

I've heard the pre-orders for MDNA did over 1 million worldwide in that week alone, and apparently early projections for her tour are in the region of $500 million! So I think she's be alright.

To be honest i havent bought a single for a long time...if i like a song or two i buy the album by an artist i just warm to. Or if i am a massive fan anyway i will buy it regardless...then if it is amazing there is the massive plus with it.

But i want Madonna to unleash a good handful of releases with videos to circulate as she is on tour promoting etc. For video airplay and radio airplay too etc whether it tops the charts or just gets into the top 20 remains to be seen. But MDNA is gonna have an amazing year commercially anyway, first week alone by the looks of things.

Thats the juxtapose with most people i usually buy 1st single if its great and the album or wait the way people buy has changed people are more interested in her albums and tours etc tbh luvin has not pushed past 20 on itunes and u can blame the label but same happened to coldplay and it still hit number 1

The thing with Coldplay there is the fact that while the label frigged it up...Paradise remained around the chart and then after their massive performance on The X Factor (the finals are watched by the highest viewing figures in the UK every year) it was massive exposure of their album which sold a massive sales burst that week and of Paradise which counteracted the damage prior done.

With this however she doesnt have that massive exposure for a TV performance...the only thing would be is for a live massive performance for the Britains got Talent final really...but by then MDNA will be out anyway so Wild and/or single number 3 may be promoted then or new material so it wouldnt be deemed necessary. So unfortunately Luvin i feel will be the Miles Away of this era early on. WHich while gutting in some ways...it certainly isnt overall disappointing as look at what MDNA is doing already
