I love both groups but I preferred TLC: I liked most of their songs, whereas I only liked a few of Destiny's Child's songs and Left Eye is one of my favourite rappers.
I like both groups but prefer Destiny Child, I know TLC were around in the 90's but I only got familiar with them in the late 90's such as with songs like No Scrubs, Waterfalls and unpretty due to my age at the time. With DC, I remember when they came on the scene and was a fan from the beginning, so I know and like more of their songs overall.
TLC!! CrazySexyCool is one of the best albums of the 90's - FanMail too is up there. I even like 3D - Girl Talk is superb but bittersweet with Left Eye gone and replaced by a cartoon.
Destiny's Child were only stellar for The Writing's On The Wall - again one of the best R&B albums of the 90's - then Survivor was a turd and Destiny Fulfilled slightly better....the fact I disliked foghorn Michelle didn't help

Actually, TLC have been innovative since the very beginning, when they were VERY young with 'Ain't Proud 2 Beg' and all the other tracks from their debut. And they released their sophomore album whilst they were still teenagers and that one is considered a classic. Besides, weren't all DC members around 25 when 'Destiny Fulfilled' was released? Anyway, both bands were great and I'm sure they both have loyal fans that can point out their advantages and strong points.
TLC without a doubt, what a band, one of the (many) big jewels in the American Black Music's crown.
Even now over 13 years later, 'No Scrubs' still sounds fresh and the video is still futuristic.
Their Oeuvre is so small, but that's what makes them special.
TLC were class, Destiny's child were too pure and media trained within an inch of their lives. No personalities any of them. "Don't forget to mention how much you love God and Jesus girls and smile!"
I love them both! But The Writing's One The Wall is the best DC album, much better than Survivor.
TLC had more edge though, such a shame Left Eye passed away
My fave TLC songs are Creep, Waterfalls and Dear Lie.
