Bits in my olive oil?
My shopping just got delivered and I have a 1L bottle of extra virgin olive oil and there seems to be bits floating in it???
Also it's in a plastic bottle not glass? It cost £10, shall I take it back? Can't see any bits in my other bottles - that are all glass? It's dated fine.. |

You often see sediment. I just shake it.

Is it solidifying because it's cold? Olive oil does this at a higher temperature than a lot of other oils. Plastic bottle will also give it less insulation.

Yes, cold makes olive oil go cloudy. It's perfectly OK though.
