No, for a few reasons. I cant afford a joint of meat every weekend and my husband works every other weekend until 8:30pm, and I couldn't eat a roast at that time of night.

Most Sunday but if Mr Chick is working a late one I tend not to just do it for me and the children i'll do something light and easy as I see it as a day off from cooking

Mr Chick will be home in 1/2 hour I have a lovely forerib beef resting out in the kitchen

Today I'm doing a huge roast for my mum. I've got a massive pork joint with crackling, roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, carrots, peas, parsnips, cauliflower & broccoli. Toberlerone cake and clotted cream for pudding!

Roast what?

Seriously, no, as I'm a strict vegetarian.

When we stay at MIL's - which is quite often - always cook Sunday lunch or she would never get to eat one. She always wants pork, lots of crackling and apple sauce plus lots of veg so her and hubby could have that maybe 4 Sundays running. :eek
:I then cook 2 vegan mains for me and son and have the same veg as them but we get different main every week

when I was younger and lived at home we had one every sunday. Now Ive moved out I cant be bothered with all the fuss and mess around it. Its very rare I fancy a roast dinner so I may have one once every 2 months, even then Im still not that bothered by it.

Today I'm not actually doing a roast, I'm doing cottage pie with veg and yorkshire puddings.

It's not like me to not do a roast but I think I just wanted a Sunday off - I seem to spend the entire afternoon cooking if I'm doing roast but today I wanted something a bit quicker.

I rarely have a traditional sunday dinner, my parents do most sundays, but I tend to have Omelettes on a Sunday, either ham/plain or cheese ones, with Beans then I get my dairy and protien with a Glass of Orange juice to wash it down with. =)

Quite often. More often that not. Tonight though will be pork steaks, apple sauce and potato and onion dauphinios with Gruyère topping .

Much to my families annoyance i hate roast dinners so they rarely happen in my house and when they do i end up cooking a different meal for myselfr or my dinner would be a plate of vegetables

We do! We have chicken, pork, beef, lamb, turkey or duck. Sometimes we might just have chops, but I still do roast potatoes, yorkshire pudding, stuffing, a selection of veg and gravy. I make my own stuffing balls, I do a big batch in advance and freeze them.

We very rarely have roasts these days - I think the last one we had at home was on Christmas Day.

We used to have them pretty much every Sunday, I don't remember when it stopped. Possibly when my mum was ill, we took over doing more of the cooking when my mum was ill (partly because none of us really cooked very well besides my mum!).

This thread has inspired me to put a roast dinner on one of our weekly menus soon though!
