Getting a new phone - Questions.

I currently have a HTC Wildfire S and I will be getting the Xperia Ray next week. I have two questions:

1- Is it a simple process of restoring the Wildfire S to its factory state and how? (I have never had to do this before and the phone will be going to someone else so it needs to be clean).

2- I currently have a 16gb sd card in my phone, with pictures, apps etc. on it. Will I simply be able to take it out and put it into the new phone and it will work straight away or will I have to do something else first?

I appreciate anyone who can answer these for me

1) If its anything like my htc desire you goto SD and phone storage and press factory data reset. And yes it deletes everything on the phones memory but not the SD card memory you have to unmount the sd card then select erase sd card to format it.

2) You'll have to reinstall the apps you had but the pictures/ringtones should be fine.
