Samsung HT-D4500 SmartHub playback b/w

I have a new Samsung HT-D4500 blu ray connected to the TV by RGB composite and to the router by ethernet. Playback is normally fine except when I try to watch YouTube via the SmartHub, as soon as playback starts the screen goes black and white. It then stays b/w for everything until I turn the device off. Other things via SmartHub such as iPlayer are fine. The device also has the ability to play media stored on my PC over the home network via the Allshare interface, again any video I try to play makes the screen go b/w.

Anyone else experience this or have an idea how to fix? TV is a Toshiba not new enough to feature HDMI hence the composite connection but since playback is normally OK anyway I guess the fact I'm using composite makes no difference?
