I am sure it will be at these tragic times as seems normal.

I can't remember how many of MJ filled the Top 10 when he died in 2009 but I don't think it was as many as I thought it would be

We'll know as the week progresses. At the moment the highest song is only No.19 on UK I-Tunes, I Wanna Dance With Somebody, with I Will Always Love You at No.21. Her Ultimate Collection is No.1 on Amazon but currently sold out!

MJ died mid-week, which didn't 'help' (for lack of a better word) his chart position, as some sales counted to the first weeks chart, before the bulk of sales came the week after.

Also a lot of people went for MJ's 'Essential' collection rather than buying singles.

I think she's more likely to get number 1 album and maybe a couple of singles in the top 40 rather than a flood of tracks in the top 40.

I think there will definitely be a few songs of hers in the charts but I don't think the whole top 40 will be full of Whitney songs.

that is awful, she must be understandably devastated. i am also surprised that her songs are not higher on itunes at the moment in the uk. although, the albums are doing extremely well. a very sad day.

even though madonna is more successful and is the queen of pop, i think whitney is the queen of pop too.

I'm not so sure about the number one album, I reckon Emeli Sande's going to sell at least 80k this week and probably over 100k. But the single and album charts will definitely be Whitney dominated.

I agree, definitely a UK Top 3 Whitney greatest hits compilation by this time next week once the panic-buying has slowed down.
Her two UK #1 singles 'I wanna dance with somebody' & 'I.W.A.L.Y' Top 30 at best and half a dozen hits peppered between 41 & 75.Nothing on the scale of the M.J. chart domination of 2009.

Emelis' album will be #1 this time next week, there's one heck of a lot of anticipated buzz surrounding this one.

So, at this time she has I Wanna Dance.. at No.15 and I Will....at No.19 on UK i-Tunes. One Moment In Time is next at 43 so I'd say three or four at the most in the Top 40 next Sunday.

There will probably be a couple of her hits in the lower top 40 but I don't think she'll fill the chart like MJ did. He had about 12/13 songs in the top 40 the week after he died.
Her greatest hits albums will probably both make the top 5 albums though.
