Yet again i've recorded a program which has stopped short of the end. It's really infuriating and as you can tell not the first time this has happened!

Is there anything i can do? Is it worth contacting samsung? Or will their response just be to blame the channel for not sticking to it's schedule?

I have to say it's never happened with any of the BBC or ITV channels and tends to be E4 and C4.

What confuses me is I record loads of stuff from Cbeebies and sometimes a programme might include 8 mins of the previous one but it still records the end.

I have to say i'm not impressed with the box. I've yet to find a movie file that will play from USB, twice i've lost my recordings and where is ITV player?

If we weren't so poor I think we'd go back to Sky!

C4 and E4 are well know for missing the end off as well as a few more channels. It's the broadcasters fault for sending the wrong stop time. Just put a few more minutes on the end of the recordings and you should be fine. Though I've found C4 and E4 are a lot better than they used to be last year and Shameless and Skins always record to the end. Have you tried downloading VLC media player on the PC (Use google) that will usually play anything you throw at it.

You can't add a buffer to recordings on the Samsung as you can with the Humax. I have contacted Samsung and they have said that they are aware of the issue. I have asked that they allow a buffer to be added via the next software update in May. We'll see.

As for USB files that play via the Samsung, I have found that Xvid and avi files play but sometimes with intermittent sound drop outs.

Not sure what you mean about why another thread bampsam. I know there's another samsung thread but i didnt want to add to the 50 odd pages. I actually trawled through most of that when i was deciding which box to get. I'm just thinking of fellow samsung users who like me just want to see a thread with a couple of topics in it. That's not to say i don't appreciate all the info in the other post. Hope i've explained myself for you. Cheers.
