Sorry to have to say this, but Angela Rippon, who did not get to perform in the show proper last year, was better than Rosemary.

A good point actually! Angela didn't deserve such an early exit IMO, whereas Rosemary is getting beyond boring now doing the same things week after week.

Unfortunately, they had that stupid 'twist' last year where the first week was down to the public vote alone meaning that the judges scores couldn't prop up the better skaters. As a result you had one of last year's finalists in the bottom 3 in the 1st week plus Angela who had much more to give just because their fan bases weren't as strong at that time and they hadn't been on the show long enough to win one through talent.
I think it's difficult to make a comparison because firstly the memory can play tricks and secondly we only saw one routine from Angela which she'd had longer than one week to perfect.
That said, you could argue that Rosemary has by now had many, many weeks to perfect the same performance that she reproduces for each show!
I do recall Angela being quite graceful and elegant.

Agree I mean Charlene was quite impressive 1st week but she struggled after that. I also recall Angela backchatted Robin & that probably cost her votes.
