Tickets for 2012 season

Thinking of going to see one of the 2012 live shows. To get a good price for airlines I would need to book now, but I see tickets are drawn and sent out in August. Has anybody been able to get any sooner?

No.

The ballot takes place in August for all dates. However the results are never known till about 10-12 days before the show in question.

At this stage the dates of Strictly are not confirmed at all.

You would be very lucky to get drawn to see a live show. There are very few seats anyway and the applications outstrip the places by 1000s to 1

They ask for requests via their booking form when it opens which is not until near the start of the series.

Yes that show was slightly different but I bet there will still 10,000s of entries and only say 2,000 ballot entries successful.. (bear in mind that the ballot entry for this was for a pair). So if there were 4000 tickets available for sale... 2000 people were successful.
