Jay-Z was probably busy being a parent.

No clue about Kanye, maybe he just didn't want to go alone.

They have done nothing! It's not like Gaga hasn't won any awards before!

I quite like it that Bey and Jay didn't go.. shows they'd rather spend their time with their daughter.

Kanye would only have embarrassed himself again probably, he might have snatched the microphone off Adele or something.

Hmm im shocked

Kanye winges when he barely wins any awards and he proves to be one of the top winners the one time he chooses not to go.

It is sort of a shame that GaGa didn't win even one award, but Adele thoroughly deserved all six awards she won, it really was her year! Can't wait to the follow up!

I was so pleased Kanye won so many. His album was fantastic and I was glad it got recognition. Foo Fighters album was also amazing and they were worthy winners and all in all the grammy's did a good job of awarding the trophies last night

Why no Madonna @ Grammy
Why no Christina Aguilera @ Grammy
Why no real tributes @ Grammy
Why no amazing performances @ Grammy
Why no variety @ Grammy

There are many many questions you can ask about what this year's Grammy's lacked. Let's just all conclude that it was a hot mess and move on

Speaking as an Adele fan I thought it was pretty good.

I'm dead at you thinking having Christina Aguilera there would have made it less of a hot mess.

She is currently the definition of hot mess.

Christina's performed 2 tributes at the Grammy's, one for James Brown and one for Aretha Franklin and both of them were considered highlights. She could have easily participated in one of the 2 tributes that took place last night. Besides, Madonna and Christina Aguilera are the only major pop artists that are currently gearing up for the release of an album, hence I wonder why neither of them got a chance to perform, when the line-up was anything but impressive.

Madonna didn't perform because you have to (generally) be nominated for something. Though, I did wish they could have bent the rules for her.

Is Christina really lining up something? I had heard rumours, but I thought it was just talk. Anyway, I think Alicia and Bonnie was a great choice, and Hudson did really well with IWALY (and much better than Christina probably would have handled it).

By the way, I agree about the James Brown one, but if I remember correctly, the most memorable thing about Christina's appearance (as one part of a five-piece, in case you have forgotten) was that she almost fell over.

Christina will release her album during the summer. There's no denying that Alicia Keys, J Hud and Bonnie did a good job, but the Grammy's had to honor two of the most legendary vocalists of all time, so, mind you, they both deserved much more than a 2-minute tribute. They deserved what Aretha Franklin got, which was very well executed and elegant.

And no, I don't forget that it was a five-piece, I remember exactly who the other ladies were, but, alongside with GaGa's 'BTW' performance, the tribute to Aretha, in which Christina participated (same word I used in my initial post) was one of the most discussed performances. Some people talked about the fact she slipped, like some people prefer to review the clothes and the hair instead of the vocals, but most of the positive feedback concerend the performance itself, which, adding the praise 'I Love Your Porgy' amassed, makes Christina's absence from the ceremony this year totally unreasonable

Kanye is in London, he already stated two months prior to the event he wouldn't attend even though he had the joint most nominations.

I'm partly glad Kanye wasn't there to make an idiot of himself. I am a massive fan of him as an artist, but his public personal makes me seriously cringe sometimes.
