Dire.
Evil. Awful... all words in the English language to that effect can explain what I think of Nicki Minaj and her 'music', image and performances. Wish the rope had snapped. |

Sorry Nicki but I actually laughed out loud at this.
![]() Her 'performance' was an exorcism. Absolutely foul. |

It was embarrassing.
There was potential there for an entertaining performance with the theatrics (video intro, levitating, idea of exorcism etc) but she didn't carry it off at all and the song was crap. It was basically Nicki grunting occasionally with deadpan "No. Please. No." and looking like she instantly regretted being so ridiculous. I saw more Laurieann Gibson in there trying to make a point after being fired by Gaga, than Nicki Minaj. |

I feel like I should comment, seeing as I made the thread.
I really liked it. I'm not a fan of Nicki to be honest and I didn't at all like Nicki Minaj but I quite enjoyed the performance. I know she tends to do those unfeminine grunts a lot of the time but I think they quite fit with the exorcism theme.I think her main problem was the song, I wasn't sure what I was meant to be watching and it just looked too busy. |

I like Nicki but thought it was awful.
I wasnt even sure if it was meant to be serious or comical?? She seemed to be taking it seriously but some parts, especially the pre-recorded part of her supposedly possessed, came off as a joke. I think people are bored of performers trying to be shocking and 'controversial'. We see it all the time now so i just kind of roll my eyes and yawn when the next one comes and tries to outdo the others. |

I think it was a joke.
I hope it was a joke. If I knew it was Nicki acting alone, I could take this. But because Ms. Gibson was there... It's almost as if LAG thinks anything with a big budget and pretentious premise is artsy and creative, when it often comes off looking silly. Grade: D- (But only because I am tickled by it, just a tad). |

A lot of theatrics with little to no talent to back it up.
Is this seriously what qualifies as a rapper these days? |

Romans Renenge is the best song on her album, and her rap off with Eminem is IMMENSE, but that performance is shockingly bad
![]() But you think that's bad? Watch/listen to "Stupid Hoe" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6j4f8cHBIM&ob=av2e But if you listen to her Pink Friday album, there is a few VERY good tracks there. |
