I've reached the stage where I just want Crazy Carrie to be locked up for good and for Rupert Friend's character to play a bigger part.

The noises of ugly sex were just too much for me this week!
Carrie & Brody have no shame, I mean really, not in the slightest bit embarrassed by all the people who heard them, I felt embarrassed on their behalf; and why so noisy?

well.. they were f**ing each other, metaforically and licterally. It could not be all sweet and pretty lovemaking. They also did not have much time, plus it was since the cabin - if I recall right - that they didnt get the chance

Yes it's ridiculous, he'd be incapacitated for at least a month I would've thought.
Given the amount of internal damage a bullets he would probably be dead. They design bullets to do as much damage as possible as they can ricochet of your ribs etc.

Any plausibility the show had just went out the window the last few episodes .

Im new to this so hello to everyone

I've personally enjoyed Homeland up to date. Yeah there may be some extreme storylines but that's what make good viewing. How boring would it be if it was just like real life. They have to get everything into a 12 or 13 episode series so there will be the odd shortcut that's taken. I notice the cracks in the storyline but i dont let it bother me. Im there to enjoy the show and not pick holes in it.

Now Brody has been taken to Abu nazir, im sure he's central to the attack being planned. Not sure how the CIA will find him now. Thoughts?

Oh and Brodies wife is FIT!

This "fake SWAT team" is the guys who just got shot/arrested in the car park.

When did this happen?[/quote]

my thought as well, in fact had to check that i wasn't in the US pace thread.

I didn't think Nazir appearing at the end was particularly unexpected - since we already know he's the number one bad guy.

It would have been more of a shock if it had been someone from the CIA.
I wasn't surprised in the least that it was Nazir, was anyone except the continuity announcer?

I hate that I feel this way but I'm slightly disappointed with this season. Last season I was rooting for Carrie and it was such a great feeling when the rest found out about Brody and realised she was right. However, this season I don't really care for Carrie. I don't trust her judgement anymore and can't tell whether she cares more about protecting Brody than stopping Nazir. Perhaps that's what the writers intended, not knowing whether Carrie's feelings for Brody are real or fake. I personally believe her feelings are genuine though, and I don't really like that. I hope that I am wrong but her reactions do seem to suggest that she does love Brody. I've read elsewhere people seem to really like their relationship but I have to say I really dislike it and find myself becoming more interested in the other characters than the central two now. I'm really liking Quinn and I loved Saul and Eileen's scenes in the last episode.

I'm not particularly fond of Brody either. I'm kinda hoping that this season finishes his story and that he doesn't walk free from this I care about his family but not really for him.

Still, I'm interested to see where the story is headed so I'll continue to watch and I don't want to give up on it. Hopefully it manages to recapture the quality of season one for me.
I'm like you this series, Carrie and Brody are annoying me, I don't think that their characters are vital to a good programme.

He could of course not been as badly injured as we have been led to believe, a double/triple whatever agent. I mean after all who is this Quinn character?

i still like it, carrie and brody are GREAT characters, their motivations are so murky. yes there's the whole bipolar/cia thing BUT they've been at pains to show they don't really want carrie there but they need her - she's has been right about everything so far.

The OP has asked more than once that posters take notice that his title says No Spoilers.
Maybe the people who post spoilers don't understand what that means ?
In the last instance I don't think much was given away ?

I don't think it was deliberate - he'd been posting in the US pace thread, which is a week ahead. Still annoying though and why is there a US pace thread anyway?

Not sure but I know of another UK social internet site where a person living in Spain posts,
She said she's watching a Homeland episode in front of us in the UK.
As a novice in here I'm not sure where all members of Digitalspy live and what /where they receive Homeland and other programmes from .

Even his wife calls him by his surname. WTF is that all about?
It's very common in the US military. My parents were married for 44 years and my dad was in the US military for about 25 of those years. My Mom called my dad by his surname for all those 44 years and so did a lot of other military couples.

I'm getting close to the point of not caring what happens to Carrie OR to Brody. I would love to just enjoy the show for what it is, but I can't suspend my reader/viewer disbelief THIS far!!! By now, they'd have pulled Carrie and banished her from anything CIA. And I know US politics are pretty strange, but even THERE a returned war hero wouldn't be an automatic shoe-in for a vice-presidential candidate. Look how long it took John McCain to get a leg up!

Thanks for that I love the fact that some people have personal knowledge of how things are

This week's episode is titled "Two Hats", wonder if the next one is called "See You Next Tuesday"?
