Ive just watched episode 9, after watching one and not being able to bear waiting any longer for this fantastic series.

I havent raved about a series so much since The Shield and 24.

Damian Lewis and Claire Danes are absolutely fantastic. If you're still on episode 2/3, you should start feeling a little smug, because you are in for a TREAT.

So 51m less 4% for the UK frame rate comes out at just under 49m. The short episodes (so far) explain why C4 are only putting in three ad breaks.

I'm loving this series. It meandered a bit until #3,and then it really kicks in! I can't find a link for #5 tonight ,and I'm pining. I'll hunt it down tomorrow, averting my eyes to any spoilers.

I think episodes in Season 1 were a couple of minutes longer than those in later seasons, as FOX crammed in more commercials as the show went on.

having watched the first 2 eps UK, i intend to follow through, so would be cool to discuss without spoilers Thing is there is a temptation to jump to US paced coz im impatient. To be honest the only reservation i have with successful us drama/thrillers is they then drag it out as a cash cow. This type of drama lends itself to a resolution & not dragged over 6 series.

I so agree with you. I've given up on every single promising American series because of the dragging on and on and on without a resolution. I hope this one doesn't disintegrate in that way!

I've been wondering how they are going to do this myself. No show goes into production in american with the intent of one season. This could have been made as a mini series but it wasn't. So, is it build around Claire's character. Brody gets resolved in the first season and season two sees a new problem for maverick CIA agent claire. If not, be prepared for this to be dragged out over 6 seasons. lol

i have just started watching Ep 3.

that is absolutely crazy. re the phone download

why would they reveal the name of the asset at a public meeting? what possible point is there to doing that. No doubt one of the people at the meeting will leak the information.

Every week the women are naked but the men aren't. So sexist!

Other than that i'm enjoying it but hope it isn't dragged out too long , bought by sky or flops and ends up being shown at midnight.

Poor Lynne! Knew that was going to happen. I'm pretty sure the Prince realised she had been looking at his phone, way too risky! Can imagine Carrie going into meltdown now.

It's harder to persuade guys to do it, and there's more of a stigma over male nudity

At first, I thought it was something to do with the prince, but they look like a pretend couple who have moved in to keep an eye on, or contact Brody..... perhaps?

edit - which guy are you talking about?

Ok... I think I get it. One of the Saudi prince's employees has been embezzling funds from the prince, without his knowledge, and using it to fund terrorist activities? He knew the prince gave the girl the necklace and had her robbed and killed. the people buying ahouse by the airport are planning an attack connected to the nearby airport and the house was bought with the money from the necklace. Have I kept up or totally got this wrong?

I hope the Saudi prince sorts out the one that iced the girl!

You may be right. I thought the two were unconnected - the embezzler and the couple.

If this show is good at one thing, it's knowing how to end an episode to leave you wanting MORE!

Indeed. When I first saw it, the ending of Ep 3 was the moment when I knew I was hooked. It just opens the show up to be something bigger than Brody vs the CIA.
