Actually based on a successful Israeli TV series.
By why does Damien Lewis (a Brit) always play Americans - Band of Brothers etc

After all the hype, you'd hope they'll show it uncut. I didn't think there was anything in Homeland that would cause a problem, but Channel 4 will air pretty much anything uncut after the watershed so even if there was it probably wouldn't be an issue.

Unfortunately for us, we'll have to suffer four ad breaks, whereas in the US it's shown ad free.

Another show for the Sky+.

But unlike Americans, Brits got to watch Pan Am ad-free. So it evens out.

They also have to pay to watch it as it's on premium cable. At least if this is successful Channel 4 will try and keep it. (They'll probably lose if Sky get involved, but we have at least a season or 2 before they try.)

I watched all of Downton on-line after the UK broadcasts. No ads that way either.

Downton Abbey airs on PBS in the US so there are no ads.

We know that. But Downton Abbey airs on ITV in the UK, which does have ads.

I'd just like to plea to everyone to give it a chance. It does take a few episodes to really kick on.

Because he's pretty much the greatest actor around. All the charisma and talent and screen presence that the bloke in Birdsong should have had

Well good start so far. That was one hot sex scene! Oooh la la! But anyone annoyed at just where Ch4 decided to place that ad break? She was just about to tell her kids about the dad! Come on Ch4, you can do better than that!

At least that scene proves that Homeland isn't going to be cut.

Pan-Am was rubbish, not sure that's a fair trade!
