I was more concerned that Damien Lewis was going to reveal something. The clip shown wasn't really a spoiler ...in other words, I'm none the wiser.

I remember watching a review programme, once, where one of the critics mistakenly gave away the entire ending of a film. lol, so I don't blame you being cautious.
Yeah I thought Damian was going to blurt something out too. It was a mad scramble for the remote - I don't want any teasers with this one at all.

I was surprised to see how different he is in real life. "This man can actually act," I thought to myself.

I've never seen him on anything but HIGNFY and talking about Band of Brothers before so it was interesting to see another side to him.

He is a fine actor. Initially Claire Danes' performance stole this but he's been superb throughout - simmering and subtle.

Had to mute Graham Norton show last as I had not seen any episodes of Homeland, we like to save a few up first and have a full evening watching them, tend to get in to the series better that way.

Anyway, we have just watched the first three episodes tonight, blimey, doesn't time fly when you are having fun, brilliant series so far, very intriguing. Only tomorrow night to wait for the next episode, then it's back to once a week.

Can't believe we're only 3 episodes in and this thread is already at 22 pages with over 500 replies and over 40,000 views! Imagine what it will be like when the season ends. The last programme i remember being this popular was the Game of Thrones thread.

The Benidorm series 5 thread is narrowly ahead at 23 pages, 570 replies and 47,809 views (also 3 episodes shown).

I made the mistake once of posting something in the Lost UK pace thread, instead of the US pace thread. I hadn't realised until somebody made a comment.
At the time I didn't know how to use the spoiler thing, so I had to contact the Mods and they quickly did it for me. I felt terrible, but I was told that hadn't been a drastic spoiler.
As I keep telling the kids. Read what it says, not what you think it says, when they are doing their homework.

Don't get it about Claire Danes performance. It is all on one hysterical note, no subtly, no nuances, no shades of grey. Contrast that with Damien Lewis who changes all the time. I think Clare has the easy part and the one dimensional nature of her acting loses sympathy and credibility

At the danger of being accused of spoilers, keep watching... Both deserved their Golden Globe nominations (and will surely get Emmy nods too) but Danes just about shaded it over the whole season.

How about not watching it? You didn't seem too keen after watching 3 episodes, so why keep punishing yourself?

That was a good episode. and again it's too short. Does anybody else feel tense watching this?

I think Carrie's falling for Brody.....

I was thinking all through that meeting that they'd probably end up sleeping together... Perhaps Brody's trying to get back at his wife?

Thanks for that. Will trust your judgement but to me (at the moment) she doesn't get our sympathy. We should surely be backing her but actually I want him to get away with whatever he is/isn't doing! I just find her annoying.

I felt really sorry for Brody in this episode. He's lonely and his wife doesn't understand what he's been through...plus he's lost his friend to his wife.

I'm not sure if he wants to get back at Jesse or whether he's just lost and doesn't know what to do.

Another good episode tonight.

The scene with Brody and Mike in the car pretty much confirms he knows about Jess's affair and Mike should have realised he knows too. Loved that catty comment he made to Jess about getting Mike to build the fence! Not really sure why Brody killed that deer? Was it really necessary or was it a ploy for attention? I do agree that he's feeling lonely and no one understands him, esp his wife but that's not her fault though is it?

I was really hoping Carrie would catch the professor guy but i knew it wasn't going to be easy. So am i right in thinking someone is watching Carrie watching the professor guy? Is it an inside job? That was a quick phone call to the professor's wife as soon as Carrie and her pal started following him. Still not sure what's going on with that couple. It's certainly intriguing.

Not too keen on the ending with Brody and Carrie, definetely a tinge of some sort of romance developing. I really hope they don't go down this path.

Does anyone else really like the opening titles to the show? I think it's fantastic. I love the pictures, the jazz music, all the dialogue from the pilot episode and Obama speaking.

Is the little girl shown at start of each episode meant to be Carrie when she was a child? Furthermore, why does the start always show a black composer saying "....something from the good old days"?
