Well done Ch4!

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/s188/...channel-4.html

I really, really hope Ch4 haven't been stupid and have bought the 'for life' rights to this show for Ch4 to screen it as long as it's made. I would hate for another broadcaster (let me guess? lol) to snap it up in a big money deal.
I'd prefer it to be on sky, if it were on sky it would air the same week as its aired in the US. Would also mean a shorter wait unil the second series.

I'd say SKY will get it shortly. 24 was the same, went on BBC2, got 3 million viewers, then SKY got it and like you stated aired often a week after or the day after the US premier.

They also got Lost when it did well for channel 4. And remember SKY is losing House and possibly Fringe so it will be looking for other shows to big up the line-up

Brody being converted by the drone strike seems pretty odd. He has to know that Abu Nazir has plenty of innocent blood on his own hands as well.

Usually does not matter when the child you love has been killed.

This is after all an Israeli story.

Like you (and others) I'm not quite getting how the drone strike has proved such a turning point for Brody. Yes, of course, he'd grown to love Isa and I wouldn't ignore the horror of searching through the wreckage trying to find him and the devastation when he did...

But surely you'd come out thinking that all politicians (or "freedom fighters") are manipulative liars when it suits and when it has been comprehesively proved to you that your own country is flawed, this knowledge would not turn you against it to the extent that you are willing to damage it. It seems a fragile premise to me - it doesn't convince. Perhaps there's more to be revealed.

But I suppose also we can't discount the effect of being a prisoner in a hostile land for 8 years and the drugs and mind games that will have gone with that.

Are we actually 100% Brody has been turned though? I'm still not completely convinced by what we're supposed to believe and I think there's a lot more to it...

very late to this thread, been catching up with Homeland over the last few weeks and am finally up to speed!

Really enjoying it, it doesn't surprise me in the least to find out it's come from the 24 stable.

I too don't think it's as black and white as Brody being turned - I think there are still more twists in the tail.. Especially with regards to the 24 aspect - I imagine it'll turn out that half the staff are infiltrators as well!!

He's working for a known terrorist, so yes he had been turned. Unless you want to suggest some double agent stuff. The question is what is his mission?

Sorry tealady, I'm going to have another go at you.

He might have been turned. He might be still loyal to the US and playing along to get closer to the terrorists (and he might have just played along to save his life when a captive). He might have been turned, but can be turned into a double agent by the CIA with the right strategy?

Writing that he is working with terrorists, so he must have been turned is just too simplistic.

I can't see why so many people can't cope with potential plot twists. Have we become so dumbed down by watching bad drama that the concept of not everything being what it first appears is now not even considered an option?

Trying to watch this on 4oD but that doesn't appear to be working anymore. Getting error message "rights to this asset have expired". Other 4oD progs seem to be unaffected. Anyone else noticed this?

The episodes are available on 4OD for only about a month after they air. Channel 4 has shown 9 episodes of Homeland so far, and as of right now the first 5 episodes have all expired, so only episodes 6 through 9 remain. Episode 6 will be gone soon too.

I'm about 90% sure that Brody has been turned. I'd be delighted if he surprises me and turns out to have been playing his own tricky, walk the tightrope, game all along on the side of "good"... but... I don't think he will.

I just want his story to get a satisfactory conclusion - whatever that might be.

I couldn't wait any more and watched episodes 10-12 over the weekend.

Obviously, I won't spill any beans, but you will NOT be disappointed with the ending. I was screaming at the TV - that's how involving it is.

The point is I can't watch any of the ones 'still available', which up to 2 weeks ago was possible.

Depends if C4 bought the "life rights". Then again, BBC did that with Heroes after the first season, and buried it.

Hello!

The Voice overran... but moved over just in time to catch the end of the title sequence!

Well I'm not rooting for Brody anymore.

I'm thinking that the insider is Galvez. Too obvious?
