How soon after Season 1 is this set? And have they recast Chris? The kid looked a bit different.

Approximately 6 months. Nope, same actor Jackson Pace, probably made to look a bit older and grown up.

I have just made a seamless switch from Red Dwarf X to X Factor and then this.

I have to say, I think Red Dwarf is the closest to reality.

I really like the actress who plays Dana. Very good.

The teenager scenes are quite accurate, and the child/teen actors are good...

Indeed. Danes and Lewis may have got all of the awards but Morgan Saylor plays one of the most believable teenager characters on TV.

Agree with this. The most underrated performance of Season 1, she's a very good little actress.

Also, is there a reason why Jessica refers to her husband by his surname, Brody? Surely she should be calling him Nicholas or Nick?

Think it's due to his military background. His superiors and friends all called him by his surname so I guess it just stuck.

Totally into that episode! Agree with above posters that the actress playing Dana is very goood. Absolutely loved that smile on Carries face as she evaded capture!

If i remember they are HS sweethearts. It's not unusual for a boy to be called by his last name or a modified version among his peers, particularly if he is a HS athlete. It does carry on in the military sometimes as well.

I really really liked the show in the first series, but if the plot revolves around Brody being a double agent again, and Carrie being exactly the same character from the first series, then it will get a bit samey if you know what I mean.

I hope that there is something else upcoming apart from those two plot lines.

Yes - it's a long time since she's smiled! I never realised before what dark eyes Claire Danes has. Brilliant for looking manic when Carrie's worked up about something.
Excellent first episode! I like the introduction of a new location and already Brody's in danger of being 'discovered'.

If the continuation of sequential series continues to follow the same series of events as the first, you'll be pissed

I would just like this season to have different plots then the first season did, is that too much to ask?

I don't see a) what was so similar, that isn't fundamental to the show b) what they could've done that was different but kept the same principles and events of the previous series....

I thought they were coloured contacts, they looked impossibly dark.

I have to agree. If that is going to be the main deal in this series, it needs to be done with much more subtlety than it was tonight.

I'm wondering how they'll restore the magic of the first series with the Brody is he isn't he a wrong 'un etc. I'm a tad disappointed with what I saw, sadly.

and I don't get the big deal about Brody being a Muslim?? The lazy inference Muslim = terrorist doesn't sit well with me on any level.

It was watchable but I felt very spoon fed tonight.

New to this thread but I'd like to join in from time to time. Only caught up with Series One on More 4 this past fortnight so for me, a seamless entry into Series Two.

A couple of questions from Series One: do we know how Brody disposed of the suicide jacket? Isn't it odd that Dana has not been bugging her dad when he's going to give mom the surprise gift?!

Really enjoying it.

He also calls himself by his surname. Remember the first episode, when he first called her from Germany and she was sleeping with Mike?

"Hi. It's me. It's Brody."

It's probably just his nickname that he has been called for a long time.
