I think it's a bit meh (just a less engaging, budget Supernatural imo) but I'm going to stick with it for now as it's good enough viewing.

I'm so glad the aunt has died so soon though. For me she was just a dull, personality free walking book of exposition.

Whilst the "becoming human again" part is very handy of course to keep it a secret it is slightly illogical. After all are these not monsters in human clothing as it were, fairytale monsters pretending to be human but whom Grimms can see "as they realy are".

That kind of implies it's a conscious effort to apppear human and surely in death they would revert, or remain, to what they really are.

Still it makes a change from monsters turning to dust (or goo), although one would hope that if it got to the stage that a policeman's last twenty cases ended up with the suspect dying whilst resisting arrest then Internal Affairs might want a word

Enjoyed episode 2 and the allusions to Goldilocks and the three bears ..... who's been sleeping (or not!) in my bed

Do like Monroe, reminds me a little of Anya from Buffy (well obviously not in looks......)

Roll on episode 3

Normally in US cop shows guys from Internal Affairs turn out to be even more corrupt than the cops they are investigating.

In this show the guys from IA would probably turn out to be Reapers

Let's not get into logic (or lack of) when discussing SF/Fantasy.

However, I don't think that they are 'pretending' human form, more that they look human except when their powers (for want of a better word) manifest. Unless you are a Grimm, in which case you get a flash of what they look like. Kinda like in Buffy, where until a vamp went all wrinkly, you couldn't tell by looking at them.

Only seen the first ep, got the second ready to watch. I enjoyed it enough to give it another go.

Enjoyed the first episode, but the second one wasn't much different. Looks like it could get a bit samey very quickly.

Last night's episode was rather good, turning the story of the Three Little Pigs on its head

Quite agree re last night's episode, very enjoyable and a good twist, though the words they displayed at the beginning were a bit of a spolier.

Love Monroe - best character, still worth sticking with.

Turning out to be a little gem of a series

Week behind with Grimm, so I've only got round to seeing the one with the Rats....and the Jonathan Creek theme...freaked me out, that tune.

Pleased Adalind returned too.

And Patrick Fischler on the week before....He was never going to be a good guy.

Absolutely loved last night's ep. One thing confuses me a bit about Monroe - did he go to some sort of Werewolf Alcoholics Anonymous (as it were)?

It's possible that naming the family of Bauerschweins Orson was a bit of an in-joke

Orson, a pig was the main character in US Acres, a newspaper comic created by Jim Davis who is better known for Garfield

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orson%27s_Farm

Also, Hap the Blutbaden and Orson the Bauerschwein both appeared in Lost

I'd completely forgotten they used Danse Macabre on Jonathan Creek.

Monroe is definitely the best thing in this show

The supposed "hero" and his girlfriend are the worst things, even more so than the various "monsters of the week"
