Just make sure the chicken isn't pink inside- if it is cook for another minute or 2.

Noooooo read the recipe properly it says;

Cook the chicken, THEN peel back the clingfilm and add it to the microwave dish!

I think it means to cook the chicken because of the : after

You could fry the chicken if you want. It will take longer but give more flavour. You could poach, roast, steam it if you wanted to.
The idea of the recipe though seems to be a two step microwave cooking method.

Do as mentioned earlier. Check a big piece to make sure it is cooked through. if not then back in the mic for another blast.

I think thats what the instructions imply!... you cook it on the cooker first before adding to the veg in the microwave near the end.... i definately would not put it in the microwave from the beginning of cooking.......

They don't imply that to me.
It is a three step recipe.
Step1: Microwave veg
Step2: add chicken & microwave some more
Step3: add finishing touches.

I'd just make it on the hob. Start off the chicken in a little olive oil, saute leeks, add the rest of the veg, stock and cook through.

That's how I read it too.

Same here. Although the potatoes would need longer than the chicken takes to cook so I would probably boil them.

Either that, Or I would just make a chicken hotpot and bake it in the oven.

I am probably far to late, but it was microwave the chicken with the veg in step 2.

I don't know why there are instructions on chicken that tell you not to cook in the microwave these days.

It was Ok back in the day but seems to have fallen out of favour due to the rubbery texture after cooking, not overly pleasant but not lethal.

Quite often I'll do some bacon in the microwave as it gets the edges lovely and crisp.
