I have an HD ready Panasonic TV, attached to a Grundig Freesat HD 500gb PVR via an HDMI cable, attached to a dish in the normal way. The Freesat EPG shows all HD programs and I can watch any programme including BBC1 HD and ITV1 HD, (or as far as I know I can since there is no indication otherwise - incidentally is there any way of ascertaining whether the HD signal is really there or whether it's just showing SD?). However when I come to record off BBC1 HD or ITV1 HD, it tells me that no signal is available, and reverts to recording the next available SD version.
Is there something else I should be doing to pick up the HD signal since it is available in my postcode area?
