Should there be a posthumous album for Whitney Houston?
I would love to see an album of unreleased hits for Whitney like they did for Michael Jackson and Amy Winehouse.
I think it would be very successful. Just wanted to say aswell that I think they should release Call You Tonight from the I Look To You Album as this is probably one of her best songs and maybe release it as her final single. Here is Call You Tonight: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4UVO-Dbb2-s It was originally sung by Johnta Austin and this youtube clip is a mix of both versions. I personally think this is a perfect collaboration! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qa3rZ-KTSUU What does everyone think? Should they release a another album and single? |

no, her legacy stands great with her first 4 albums and the bodyguard soundtrack and her greatest hits alone. Also i dont think clive would ever agree to it, he loved her, like a daughter.

They should make an album of just live versions of her songs from her prime. Unless you are an active fan, you won't be aware of the plethora of live performances available on youtube.

Personally, i would rather DVD's of her tours. There are several recordings all over You tube that were originally aired on Television
Plus Posthumous albums are never that good. Michael Jackson and Amy Winehouse's were all poor. I think the only decent posthumous album i have ever heard was Billie Holiday's. |

I think it's more so a case of 'when' are we getting the posthumous album. There's lots of money to be made from them and I'm sure Whitney has hundreds of tracks.

Interesting points guys.
I think a live album would be great and tour DVD's would be fantastic. I still think an album of unreleased hits could work like a charm. |

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a new Whitney album out in time for christmas. It'll probably the usual fare - demos, unreleased material, etc. I've always been surprised at her never releasing a live album since she was known as being such a fantastic live singer. Maybe we'll get a live album from her early days.
