Asda had the Hot Dog's in stock last time i went there-and it was there that i noticed the new Chicken curry sandwich (Which im going to try this weekend if they are still in stock)

Im having a Rustlers quarter pounder tonight for my tea, with a big side portion of string fellow fries.

Heavenly. ”

I think ASDA was where I last got the Hot Dog ones too. Not been there for a while now cos it's all Tescos round here. Might have to go out my way for my beloved Hot Dogs though!

Are they the ones in a Mcdonald's type cardboard container?
That you place in the microwave

Yeah, they are in little red cardboard boxes

I like Rustlers burgers but sometimes they taste really nice and sometimes not good at all.I think it must depend on how long I've left it in the microwave for.

They're only tasty if you're drunk and you can't get a takeaway. The sauce that comes with them though, tasty!

What Rustlers have managed to achieve with that sauce is quite remarkable.
They have perfectly emulated the taste of a mcdonalds burger.

The sauce seems to be a mixture of ketchup, gurkin, and mustard. Im not sure exactly what the ingredients are but...that Rustlers sauce is fantastic.

I have to disagree with you saying that the burgers dont taste good though.
I grew up eating horrible frozen birds eye burgers that were nothing like the burgers from mcdonalds or a kebab house.

Thanks to Rustlers, there is an alternative to ordering from the kebab house.
And all they cost is £1:09!!! I love it.

Next time I get one I think I'll try defrosting the burger in the microwave and then grilling the burger and bun. If you fully microwave the burger it seems to lose some of the taste

Do you think we should request for Rustlers to start selling Jars of their wonderful sauce?

What's become of Rustler's Hot Dogs, they seem to have vanished? Are they an endangered species?

Tried a couple.

Both awful.

I can grill a much, much better quality burger in 15 minutes and choose a range of fillings - so that's my choice.

I wondered how long it would take before a food snob gave us some words of wisdom.

This is a Rustlers fan's thread.

We dont care about your home made grilled burger nonsense.

I love the Southern Fried Chicken one but I hate mayonnaise so I eat it with coleslaw instead. Delicious

I haven't eaten the burgers because I'm not that keen on red meat. I did used to love the Chicken Tikka Naan ones, I wish they still made them.

I tried the big one the other day, was a bit disappointed as I thought it was the bacon one hehe very filling though.

I do quite like them, they're always good if you want to just grab something from the shop. I love the sauce too

I just got a big one and a bacon and cheese deluxe from Tesco for £1.10 each. I'm going to have the big one later with a few home made chips (already part fried and frozen). I will grill the burger and bun, then add the cheese and sauce.

nomnomnom

have got lots of beer to drink first though..

Our local co-op have the bacon & cheese ones on offer at the moment, I must say I find them surprisingly palatable.
I put 'normal' cheese in with it instead of the little square thing that resembles a bookmark
Very tasty indeed and good value for money.

To be RUSTLER burgered sounds like a dreadful criminal offence.

Are they really that bad?

I think any lack of taste is probably due to overcooking which is very easy to do in a microwave.

I'm going to gently grill my big one later and will post on the results.

lol

My big one tasted really good grilled. I grilled the chargrilled side under a medium grill for a few mins until it started sizzling, then grilled the paler bottom side for about 5 mins, (the burgers are pre cooked so that's all they need) then put the bun under and once it was starting to go brown I flipped the buns over to the top side and added the cheese for about a minute. Total burger cooking time about 10 mins and bun about 4 mins.

Then put it on the plate and added the sauce on top of the burger and the chips (pre-frozen, refried at 160c for about 4 mins in the fryer).

Thank you for the feedback, bowland37. These burgers are not something that l'll ever try though cos l'm vegetarian though there are quite reasonable burger substitutes available these days.
