Currently have a blackberry and due for a upgrade in a couple of months and I think its between these two phones to which I will get..

BUT which one?

The main thing keeping me with Blackberry at the minute is the Keypad, I find it much easier to use for typing than a touch screen.. Although i do like the touch screen the new bold has incorporated.

Obviously the downside to Blackberry is lack of apps and web browsing which I don't think is as smooth as the IPhone

The IPhone would be more money though but could it be worth it?

If you want better web browsing, more apps AND a hardware keyboard, there are a couple of Android phones that meet your requirements. HTC Desire Z has a slide out keyboard and the HTC Cha Cha is similar in form to a BlackBerry.

i have a blackberry curve at the moment and the only thing i like about it is the keyboard, i am upgrading this week to the i-phone 4s, my partner has the 3gs and i am forever on it, either browsing or playing on the apps

What is it with thee upgrades? My girlfriend had an upgrade 4 months ago and the only phones she was offered was a Blackberry or an iPhone 4. Utterly nuts that people are still being lead to believe that the only smart-phones out there are RIM devices or Apple devices.

If you like a physical keypad you can't beat the blackberry IMO.

We can't answer this, but as others have suggested, if you spend most of your time typing, then go for the BB. If you like intuitive surfing, looking at photos, and a generally nicer GUI, then go for the iPhone.

Blackberry is the worst Smartphone on the market. They are far too complicated and they don't work.

Web pages are slow to load too.

The new iphone will probably be out in the Summer anyway.

Have to disagree on that score (and not just because I have one).

This phone is the ONLY mobile I've ever had that I haven't had problems with/needed to return.

As for being complicated, can't say I'm any kind of tech expert, but even I managed to set it up myself without issue.

I guess each to their own.
