I got a pizza hut delivery last night - the first time in about 4 years, it was absolutley vile! the crust was hard, there were very little toppings and it was very dry!

was this just bad luck or has PH gone down hill?

It's definately gone down hill; I used to work there about 4 years ago when I was a student and I really liked it. I had it recently and they hardly put any cheese on it anymore, it's also really pricey.

TBH...I've never liked Pizza Hut. Although I did have a slice of a Pizza Hut delivery pizza that my friend got recently and I was surprised that it wasn't as bad as I remembered them to be. Wouldn't be rushing out to order one, mind you

There is not many left where we both live, although they have recently opened up a few delivery places.

I miss the old Pizza Hut restaurant menu when you could get a Pizza, side and drink for two for around £15. Now sharing one Pizza which is 8" between two is impossible!

It's never been great. Whenever I order from there, admittedly it's been a while. Even the toppings seem half-arsed. You get one of something on a slice. Which is fine if it's a small pizza but if not, each slice can be a little sparse.

It's a bit too up itself. It's got an undeserved snoot about the place. It's a bloody pizza joint after all, drop the attitude!

Pizza Hut has never really been that great in my opinion, as already mentioned, Pizza Express actually does pizza much closer to how pizza should actually be.

Really? Most of the branches of Pizza Express in London are quite friendly, relaxed but with a "buzzy" kind of atmosphere. I've never noticed any pretensiousness in any of them.

No it's not at all, it's nothing like a cheese and tomato sandwich.

On which subject I never 'get' why people have just cheese and tomato pizza?
I like as many and varied toppings as you can have, otherwise what's the point?

It really isn't. Saying that just makes you look silly.

I'm having it for dinner tonight home cooked. Then the left over dough will make a red onion and cheese tart for lunch tomorrow. Would you call that a cheese and onion sandwich?

I agree totally. There is just no flavour to them anymore and Pizza Hut itself seems to have lost it's atmosphere. Also the all you can eat is crap now, hardly any flavours and the pizzas are even worse than normal. Pizza Express all the way.

As a rule I don't really like takeaway pizza or pizza in restaurants in this country. They're too big, too stodgy, can be overladen with cheese or ultimatley bland.

Obviously, nothing beats pizza from Napoli, but as that's not available to everyone, I'd actually say ASDA's "luxury" range of Pizza's are pretty impressive- either that or Waitrose.

The salad bar which you can help yourself too is absolutley VILE

it's just got absolutley utter crap. I've been to a couple of pizza huts in my area and London so I think it's the same!

They have really horrible lettuce and really horrible pasta and I thought one of the pasta was cheese and tomato so I got a tad excited that I could have something I enjoyed for free and it was sour and just crap. The little like bacon things are crap too! Please say i'm not alone in thinking this?!
