All of a sudden ICQ wants to send my SMS's (which worked up to now) via an email gateway, this does not now work with my mobile

Is there another way to send SMS's succesfully via ICQ or has the service stopped? What is an "email gateway for SMS"

Any better services to send SMS's thru your PC for now?

I don't even bother with it anymore, most messages take a few hours to get through, which is quite useless.

My girlfriend uses a web-based SMS sender/reciever, I'll try and find out for you what it is.

ICQ has always used a gateway, they've just started using a different one recently.

That'll be my luck, and the one they use now, refuses to work, well done ICQ :P

I don't know how often you use it, but last month it wouldn't work to any UK mobile network for me and a friend of mine, but this new gateway seems to have fixed it, although we now can't text to switzerland

Yep me and mates have complained about this also.. about 2-3 months ago ICQ SMS use too work 100% perfect on any mobile network and I could send messages as much as I wanted but now it seems ICQ sms is pretty much dead..

I was sending messages too my mate and now its stopped working and paying a small fortune just too ring him up which aint good at all.

I check half a dozen free SMS sites but there either dead too or require far too much registration details.

try this one ive had limited success with it, it also use too work for about 5 days but now it too is slowy dieing and no messages are getting sent.

this ones 100% free and no registration crap.

Strange thing is I can send messages too some of my mates on say Vodaphone network, but the others m8s on the same network dont recieve my text !

incidentally, when was the last time anybody tried, because the new gateway (which works great for me) has only been there for a week.
