Converting tropical to marine

Hi,i have a fluval 240litre tank and fluval 204 pump which was previously used for tropical fish,id like to convert the tank to suit marine life,what kind of things would i need to start me off,also would i need a new filter system or would the 205 do?i dont really know much about marine setups.

If you don't know much about marine set-ups, you'd probably be better off asking on a specialised site rather than a celebrity based website with a pets forum. Or your local aquarium suppliers.

The nearest fish supplier is 25miles away and i cant get till next week i just posted to get an idea of what to expect.

Marine tanks are difficult to maintain, and you have to be prepared to do a lot of water changes to maintain the chemical balance of the water.
Also marine fish are rather pricey, so make sure you have got good info before you decide to convert your tank, because it costs a lot to re stock
