Home Made Smoothies

I have a basic food processor and a citrus fruit juicer at home. Can I make my own smoothies using these? Anyone got any good recipes for healthy, tasty smoothies?

Ace, thanks. And will it work the way I described, or do I need anything else?

Do you have a blender with the food processor ? Because that's the best way to make a smoothie. That or a handheld blender

I use a cheap stick blender and it works a treat. I usually include a ripe banana as a basis, then add some sort of probiotic yoghurt - either an Actimel or the equivalent amount of pouring yoghurt - a handful of berries, fresh are great, but frozen are even better, a couple of heaped teaspoons of jam or honey as a sweetener, a glass of fruit juice and a couple of handfuls of porridge oats. Whizz it all together until smooth and you have a delicious, filling breakfast.

Occasionally I'll add an overripe pear if I have one in the fruitbowl that needs using up.
