Humax HDR - in a confused state!

Both me and it are in a confused state!

I've had a long-standing scheduled recording of South Today set here on BBC1 South (101) which has performed fine until this week when it stopped recording it. It had disappeared from the scheduled recordings and so I went to record it again as a series and I got a conflict come up which was offering to record a different episode of Dad's Army on Saturday. Although there is a short South Today broadcast on Saturday and I also had Dad's Army set, there should have been no other conflict.

I tried various combinations but in the end decided to do a factory reset and start again. I set South Today ok this time but when I got to Dad's Army there was a conflict again when there shouldn't have been.

Trying to find out why it had a conflict, I discovered that I had a BBC1 South (961) for which it had set South Today to record and it was also set on BBC1 Oxford (958).

I thought I'd just delete the unwanted channels and so got rid of all the regional variations between 901 and 999. Thinking I must of cracked it this time I went to record the ST and DA series again but this time South Today wouldn't show the timer as a series and when I looked in the schedule it was showing as recording ST from 03:14 to 03:14 on Sunday morning! If I set it to record a single episode then that works fine.

Any thoughts on what's going on here and what I could try would be gratefully appreciated.

I know it's bad form to reply to your own posts but, by way of an update, I have since powered down the HDR and left it for a bit. When I turned it back on I was able to set South Today and Dad's Army to record and they showed up with timers in the guide as they should.

Maybe deleting channels needs a power cycle to take effect (?).

I guess that something must have changed in the way that the ST series info is being sent as this all worked fine for the last year without the need to delete channels. I'm still not sure if I should I be getting a duplicate BBC South on channel 961. It could be I always have but never had the need to look that closely at the regional variations before.
