Pretty impressive for one year after release. The power of a great performance (of ROTY and SOTY), at the Grammys.

We KNOW  Jokes...props to her. Putting brits on the map. All we need is leona, alexandra, jessie j and emeli sande to bring it and rep for the ladies too. But we're a little short on talented males, bar ed sheeran.

she desperately need to do a bit more promo work in Sweden

Yes, flopping badly in Sweden.

The really ominous sign for the others wanting to have the year's best selling album is her being #1 in Japan. To say she's had such unbelievable sales worldwide in 2011, hardly any came from the world's 2nd largest music market. Looks like the Japanese are finally catching on at last.

I'm seeing Emile Sande and Ed Sheeran in March and May here in the states. Thought I'd broaden my UK music knowledge. The US girls are not doing it for me much lately.

And finally breaking Japan for Adele is amazing. 2012 is her's again most likely.

She should promote the hell out of it and release more singles!! Take advantage of it, it is very rare that sales can improve for a whole year.

Cool I'd love to see fairer charts on both sides of the atlantic, ie Uk and US artists in the top 10 - singles and albums charts. Let us know what Emeli's like live
The US girls are lacking oddly. Like theyve run out of steam. Musically, only Gaga, Janelle Monae and Beyonce were bringing their A game.

I think she has touring obligations to fulfill first...

Fantastic sales, but in the UK I feel she does need to get a new song out soon, there is only so long that even commercial radio can play the hell out of Rolling In The Deep, Someone Like You and Set Fire To The Rain.

I've just read that '21' is 'only' #2 on the Dutch album chart.......#1 is Adele Live At The Royal Albert Hall DVD (counts as an album in The Netherlands). Crazy.

I think now that Rumour has a set US release, she might sing that. She has nothing to lose, as all the singles will go up on itunes anyway. Why sing a song we've heard FAR too many times before. The UK had big sales before the US did. Rumour/turning tables/take it all need the promo.

will there be any more UK singles? `set fire to the rain` was released in july last year and she has continued to sell well without one since then. another single would be pushing her luck after all this time. personally, i would like to see her perform `set fire to the rain` at the brits.

I have a feeling if there is a 4th single, it's pretty much gonna be Rumour Has It. It's my least favourite song on the album I would hope for either One & Only or Turning Tables

I'm guessing she sings RHi at the Brits.
I love that song. And she already has changed it a bit for the live performance while on tour (not as many "Rumour Has It" verses).

I'm sure I remember reading somewhere that Adele told a London audience at one of her shows last year that they best appreciate her being there because she's being forced to do the o2 next year.. So will she be doing a tour this year? Although i'm usually a fan of pop music, I would really enjoy going to see her!

why would they close off the album now, she's matched a record breaking grammy win, and is still the worlds best selling artist for 2011 and 2012. I bet there will be (besides RHI) 3 more singles, one and only, TT and take it all, and potentially he won't go (but very unlikely). Theyre all good. But those 3 definitely. She needs to keep the momentum whilst she's going back in the studio. And she should finish those tour dates...people are annoyed about that.

For those calling for a new single NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
This madness has to stop. It's ridiculous how much this is selling. I think she's good and her album is good but i've heard better, and this is like the Harry Potter of music now! WOW.

Why should they stop? It's clearly still a money maker.
