And? By his own admission he's not the most intelligent of people so I wouldn't expect him to talk like Steven Fry.
![]() And so what of Jamie uses those terms a lot. Most people ion TV have their 'get out' phrases. |

His recipes are good, not over fussy and look, smell and taste like you'd hope.

he always makes sound effects and funny hand movements LOL so funny
he must not have a big enough budget to get real sound effects he goes "the pasta sucks it all up sssssswwwwwwwwwwwwwssssssssh" and moves his hands around in a big mess like this maybe like swimming in the air

I do love Jamie. Unfortunately it's too late for me to marry him. BUT there is just one thing that annoys me about him. His 'just a just a little bit', 'just a touch', 'just a smidgen' of olive oil is actually about a quarter of a frigging litre! Same with his 'small knob' (no innuendos please) of butter - half the frigging pack more like!
James Martin is also guilty of this (using loads of butter and oil) but at least he admits it. |

What annoys me is his huge portions of oil and butter in his recipes yet he is telling others how to eat and eat healthily !
At least other cooks admit their recipes may not be healthiest and don't apart from Graham Kerr become evangelical about healthy eating and to his credit at least Graham eats like that all the time. |

And butter is a natural product unlike margarines and low fat blah de blahs. There seems to be a misconception that fat free or low fat equals healthy. At least Jamie uses a lot of veg and wholefoods into his cooking. I'd rather eat wholegrain bread with butter than white bread with low fat spread. |

I don't like Raymond Blanc hence I don't watch programmes that feature him
I'm stumped as to why some people are unable to change TV channel when someone they hate appears on the channel they are watching |

In small quanties perhaps it is healthier than solid oils but he puts an oil slick into and onto everything. And his use of butter is almost obscene lol also is olive oil less calorific than any other oil ? I doubt it myself so splurging it on foods is adding massive amounts of calories.
He also manages to make a lot of money out of his campaigns which bothers me a bit. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olive_o...health_effects I cannot stress enough that low calorie does not necessarily equal healthy, neither does high calorie mean unhealthy. I am convinced that I am better off eating a whole avocado than 2 maltesers (as an example), even if the avocado has more calories. |

BIB I didn't say anything about calories though. It is full of valuable nutrients our bodies need and it comes in it's purest form as extra virgin. You only have to google to find out the health benefits of olive oil

Sorry I know you didn't say it but when the person we are talking about is banging on about obesity all the time I would have thought he would be a little less blasé about putting an oil slick into a meal. |

Trust me when I say that obesity is not caused by too much olive oil or butter for that matter, but by eating 'empty' calories most of the time (as in calorific with litlle or no nutritional value) Eating too many refined and over processed foods are unhealthy.
I'm not arguing with you, only discussing (just so you know) ![]() And I am just chatting no arguing from me either
