Body Brushing
Hey, I'm just wondering if anyone has and experience of body brushing?
I started my 'getting healthier' routine in January and as well as diet/exercise wondered if there was anything else I could do to make me 'feel better'. I've read reports about body brushing and supposedly it's good for cellulite / lymph drainage etc and I like the fact that you only need a brush and 10 minutes of spare time, so it's not like buying one of those creams that don't work. If anyone has any positive/negative comments about it, I'd love to see whether it's something that I should try! Thanks in advance... |

I just found it incredibly time consuming and boring. You have to do it with a dry brush on dry skin and always towards the heart. I gave up before I could see any effects I'm afraid.

I had an Elemis platinum spa day from my son for my 50th which included body brushing with a brush made of cactus needles - it did feel great and I would do it occasionally if I had the brush. I think they're about £20 - but again I go thro' phases - but I do use those mitts with exfoliating treatments regularly.
Perhaps I should invest in a brush now you've brought it to mind again. ![]() I liked the sensation, but I don't know if it's for everyone. I have dry skin so it's good for that. |

That sounds amazing!
Incidentally, I had a cheap brush at first and it felt awful so I invested in an Elemis one instead, I could really feel the difference although I still couldn't be arsed doing it, maybe I should employ someone to brush me

Breadstix - I agree about it being boring! It's something that I've tried a couple of times and I do like the 'tingly' feeling that it gives, and my skin feels as though it's been revitalised as soon as I've done it. I'm not sure whether it's something I have the patience for, especially as it could be weeks or months before I see any kind of effect.
Utopian - the spa sounds amazing! I think it's something that I may have to try for a week or two and see how I get on... |

Get someone else to give you a good brush. That'll liven things up.
