Nokia Lumia 800 ordered!
I've just ordered the Nokia Lumia 800 as my upgrade, due to be delivered Monday
Any one here got one? It's my first none-Blackberry handset in six years and first touchscreen ever, is it difficult to use and get the hang of? |

In terms of no more hardware keyboard, it will take you a while to get used to it and a "small" screen like the NL 800 is a bit harder to get used to than a larger screen. |

I've had mine for two weeks now. I had a Wildfire S and was going to go for either the Sensation xe or Galaxy S2 but when I tried them I felt they were too big. I had a play with the Lumia 800 and loved it, two weeks later and I still do. The Windows operating system is a joy to use, really simple and straightforward and the social networking integration is great. I haven't regretted the move from Android for a minute.

In terms of UI, it's as simple as it gets but you can ask people questions online for help.

I had one for around 2 weeks and in the end went back to my iphone 4 (good job I kept it)
It's a lovely phone very slick, but for me the software is too in its infancy Things like the signal strength and battery indicator don't stay onscreen all the time, you have to swipe down from the top of the screen to show them, for some if they're running out of battery it might be a bugbear there's no usb mass storage unless you go into the registry and amend a couple of registry keys, but then mp3s transferred to the phone the tags go all wonky Give it another year or so and it'll be perfect, just like IOS was after a couple of updates |

First impressions of the Lumia 800 - it's outstanding.
![]() It feels very solid and of high quality. Windows Phone 7 seems as smooth and sophisticated as iOS but totally different in a good way. I was disappointed that I couldn't remove the battery and that I had to chop up my sim card to get it inside. The apps are very expensive compared to the iOS and Android versions, but that's all I have against it. The lack of a front-facing camera doesn't bother me (as I never use one anyway) and I find the battery life good. The lack of a micro-SD card slot is disappointing, but I find 16GB enough and there's always the Sky Drive. |
