Don't get me wrong. I like Rihanna. I'm just saying she should take a break for few months (maybe a year) because she's not special anymore IMO.

I like Rihanna too, I always watch her in concert when she comes to Belgium. But I'm sure people will get tired of her.

However, I would like Leona to release albums as much as Rihanna and as fast as Rihanna ^^

I like Rihanna as well, but I'm more concerned health wise. If she keeps this pace up, she's gonna stress her voice out, especially since she always tours as well. I mean, it's not like she has the vocal ability Leona does, but still constantly recording new material can't be good for you. I think she should take a break just to relax. She'll get to number one no matter what just because she's Rihanna, so she could take off as long as she wanted to.

Wow I pop in here and still no news. I can't believe they will wait to November to release the album, the fact no one has confirmed it leads me to think it may well come out earlier than that.

However, I do feel Leona may well struggle to get airplay for her album, radio didn't really support Collide and if they adopt the same release strategy this time around no matter how good the album is, it may just not get the chance to stand out.

As someone posted a while back and as I've posted before when a female singer takes a long time off she often finds it hard to get back the momentum, Dido as someone pointed out took 5 years to produce her third album and that tanked, Andrea Corr has had two stinker solo albums and Sharleen Spiteri had a very average solo album. Sophie Ellis Bextor took time off for a baby and her career flamed out as well.

It's why artists like Rihanna and Beyonce keep churning records out, it doesn't matter if something is poor or average another record will be along soon after. I'm betting we won't wait long for Beyonce to bring out another album, she knows you can't take too long off from having a baby.

The other thing I'd point out is if they do finish Leona's album say in the next couple of months and they do decide to sit on it until November, the chances of some or all of it leaking must be high.

It cracks me up when people post that their is no interest in leona.when leona sang hurt on uk xfaxtor she was the number one trending topic on twitter,then the next day,the song was number two on itunes.when leona performed run on usa xfactor she again was tbe number one trending topic on twitter.Last year I got you was played on dancing with the stars and the song made the top 100 itunes,and last year happy was a played on the victoria secret show and it also made top 100 itunes after that.obviously their is intetest in leona and when her music is played people want to buy it.

Leona's management and inability to keep fans up to date may irritate the hell out of me but the fact that her music is nearly always quality (except 'Angel' and 'Collide' in hindsight) makes me a fan forever. Sounds cheesy but why stop being a fan if the music hasn't stopped being good?

Why do you hate Angel? For me it's one of her best songs...

As for the album how much more recording can Leona be doing? Is she re-doing the entire album or something....it will be a year since Collide in not too long and tbh she should be aiming to release another single around that time...

Rihanna will definitely damage her chances of a clean run towards the end of the year, so if she managed to get there before her with a hit, it wouldn't be as much of a problem as she could return to the X Factor come the winter to give the campaign an extra boost....

I really hate to say it, but this whole album screams Shayne Ward's 3rd album and that didn't end well.

If she can't finish the album in time then she should think about featuring on another artist's track to boost her profile...preferably a massive US rapper like Eminem or Drake, or a hook on a Nicki track.....just anything to keep her in the public conscience....

The reason Shayne Ward isn't doing well anymore is because Simon refused to release more music from him because he wanted to work with Leona and Susan Boyle (that's what I read somewhere). And I know for sure Leona's future will never go the way Shayne's future went.
She doesn't need any great artist to boost her profile, she can do it herself, I trust her. We all do

The only thing I'm concerned about, is we all know Simon can be a tool. And the fact One Direction are burning up the charts in US now, his attention may turn to them. And then my foot may turn and kick his ass if that happened

Patience is something I dont have normally but in this case I will have to wait but I do think this summer we are going to see a lot of leona...madonna done the superbowl..Leona doing the Hackney gig...exposure...plus Leona is so well commented on all the time on YT
People are constantly finding her songs and the comments are amazing...recently I was working ina department store and this young make up dept had Collide playing on thier cd and was chatting to the girls who are in thier 20,s they said "Oh leona shes so big now whats she doing?" " her voice is amazing"
when i told them about here and what Syco do/not do etc they were really interested ,I told them this year she will be back and they said " we,ll play her cd...so I snuck in her unreleased songs on a cd and they played it and were like OMG why were these songs not released>?? ..

her album will slay I,m so confident cant wait

ps People who know me say I,m obsessed with leona I agree first artist in my life have been so enthralled by in such a way...she is all the best vocalists in one for me..and i have noticed how she getting better..
concentrating on her lower mid register has been good for her voice as the higher end of her mid register got weak..now its stronger..we know she can belt so has eased up a bit rather than all the time..hence saving her voice in the long term...look at the comments on run us xfactor..look at comments from FF fans on My hands
