Nobody is forcing you to come on here. There are plenty of ratings sources on the net and Twitter each day if you just want pure numbers....

Meanwhile I find the Eastenders ratings really interesting, they may be fairly low by past standard, but they are remarably stable for weeks now they mostly are in a narrow band between 7.8m-8.3m and rarely go above or below that while Ammerdale and Corrie ratings verge all over the place.

Neighbours back up to 1m after yesterdays mini crisis and lunch time ratings seem to be rising.

2.3m for CSI not bad I would have thought.

More good overnight figures from Watch. Along with Grimm, it looks like they'll have two scripted shows bringing in well over a million per week.

The Anytime version appeared this morning, so that will boost awareness of Alcatraz.

Is it me, or is ITV's Tuesday Night Flop Zone widening to encompass most of the evening now? Even ED seems a bit low.

Seems like a higher than usual overnight for Geordie Shore, there. Didn't it start in the low 200's this series? I know someone posted that the 600k official was MTV's highest ever and adding up repeats in their top 10 you get to 1.05m which is great for them. But it's a big drop to their next show so they need to be getting something else on air. We've seen signs that Jersey Shore is starting to tire in the US and while they don't have anything as big (who does?!) MTV have aggressively developed new scripted and unscripted shows to try and keep people around.

The obvious option would surely be a UK version of Teen Mom which has been a huge success for them in the US and is their #2 show here just now. With the right talent to front it, maybe do Punk'd for the UK? Something like Celebrity Juice would have been ideal but I'm not sure that there's room for more panel shows. Still, there might be something between TV Burp and a panel show that they could use to bring through new talent and produce quite cheaply (giving it time to get off the ground).

MTV Networks biggest UK channel is Comedy Central and it does seem to be doing well so far with share for Jan/Feb up to 0.5% from 0.3% last year (average daily viewing 9.5 mins up from 5.5 mins last year), hopefully they'll see this as increased investment paying off (although I'm not sure how their first UK sitcom, Threesome, did?).

Friends seems to be doing OK for them and between it and Two and a Half Men (500k on a Monday) they've got a platform to promote some of their comedy specials and films which did OK for them in the most recent week. They should probably have made more acquisitions of US comedies, though. I'm not sure Two and a Half Men will be around much longer. They absolutely need to be chasing the rights to Charlie Sheen's new sitcom.

Although it seems unlikely that Alcatraz will see a second season which must be a disappointment for Watch considering how well it is doing for them. At least Grimm will be back - quite surprised how well that has done here.

I'll be interested to see how those figures go for Alcatraz, I was drawn to it by the known talent involved but those names flattered to deceive as what actually appeared on screen appeared sadly cheap and derivative. I'm don't know how the US ratings are calculated in respect of final figures but the 12th March episode in America had half the audience it started with in January.

Either way Watch now knows they can get eyes on their channel with US imports. Should make next years LA screenings more interesting with another serious player involved.

I am going to, I think that's its lowest rating of the year so far. Not disappointing or anything, but obviously the soaps will start to record lows with the clock changes in a few weeks.

ist a good night for CSI, as for EE ratngs, I guess we are bored of it, and now they ditched Kirkwood it doesnt matter as much, that said the show has actually shown an improvement this week.

It had 6.34m I think the other week. You may have missed it, as it only attracted a couple of comments, one of them probably from me...

I agree, nothing else comes close on MTV. Geordie Shore is MTVs flagship show. They need to get more programmes on there because if they don't MTV will fall behind again, they cant just wait every time GS comes along only once a year. That rating of 360k looks like one of the highest overnight ratings, with the possibility of hitting 650k officially.
Also, yes I think it started with around 230k as it was up against CBB I believe.

You could say it's the same for Watch. They suffered from the start but when Dynamo began, it just grew and grew. They should be another series of that; they have to based on the figures.

Something I found interesting is that Sun, Sex and Suspicious Parents was the #1 BBC3 show of the week and one of the highest multichannel ratings of the week on BARB.

For ITV2, Celebrity Juice and TOWIE always deliver.

Notice a pattern? They are all pretty much the same shows. Sex humour, teens (with the exception of Dynamo). So in my opinion, MTV, BBC3 etc... will all deliver yet another of the same type of programme as they are the only programmes that seem to be very popular at the moment.

Looks like the BBC has locked in yesterdays schedule. So the ball is now in ITV's court to move BGT. It's their move next.

MTV are promoting the US comedy "I Just Want My Pants Back" as starting at the end of the month (can't remember the exact date). It has proved popular in the US, so that could be a hit for them here.

Eek, only 4,000 viewers for a BBC branded entertainment channel in the key 10pm timeslot.

And yet people insist there should be two BBC HD channels on Freeview, when they can't even fill one adequately.

And ITV have sent their schedules off with a note saying "Saturday to follow" which made me raise my eyebrows. The BGT trailer goes live tonight and we don't have a time for the show yet!
