I have a sneaky suspicion ITV is holding back their secret weapon - Harry Hill's Last Ever TV Burp. If reports are true he's not signing another contract and the final episode is due to air... 24 March.

Anyone seen schedule to confirm, or not?

It was a repeat of Survivors!

The channel's share will increase considerably when re-branded as simulcast BBC2 HD.

a one hour head start is plenty for the Voice, viewers will be given ample time to sample it and see if they like it.

Britain's Got Talent will get the higher ratings. 8pm-9pm is Saturday peak, it will get good ITV1 lead in and will get viewers tuning in after The Voice.

ITV's tweets confirmed 8-9:20pm. Not sure what's airing after it that C4 are running scared off? Although I'm still in shock that MPD is back already! We are overkilling the overkill now!

I's not a secret. The last TV Burp is on March 24th. Big weekend for ITV with end of TV Burp & BGT on Saturday, then the Dancing On Ice final & Titanic on Sunday. The thing is this series of TV Burp hasn't rated as well as others so can't see the final episode doing really well, especially against The Voice if they clash.

My thoughts exactly. BGT goes out later in the evening when more people are watching that comes in handy when the clocks go forward and we have lighter evenings.

I can see The Voice's debut audience being very big 9m perhaps?

They've could do that but it would be nothing unique - they've been beaten to it by BBC3's Underage and Pregnant

A shame to see the best show on daytime TV (IMO) rating so badly

Nice to see some BBC2 daytime ratings though

with BGT waiting an hour, it should certainly reach the high 7 millions.

Which is why ITV had no intention to air it at 7.30 or even 7.45, they were just trying to get the BBC to push The Voice as early as possible.

BBC2 HD needs to be launched (BBC HD rebranded) today not tomorrow, upscale programmes where necessary, show low rating (U/PG rated) repeats in daytime - if indeed at all. HD ratings will climb as people upgrade equipment, there needs to be a massive push to sell Freeview HD - I have Virgin HD in lounge, but I watch 75% of programmes in my bedroom on Freeview HD - It does grate when BBC2 is not simulcasted in HD.

Quote:
“BBC HD
Britain's First Photo Album 0.043 0.21
She-Wolves: England's Early Queens 0.017 0.08
Hairy Bikers' Bakeation 0.103 0.44
Horizon: Out of Control? 0.069 0.28
Survivors 0.004 0.02”

So ratings of 43k, 17k, 100k, 69k and 4k. It needs to be 10% of BBC2 viewers not 1-5%.

Mission failed then as the BBC held their nerve throughout ITV's games.

Even with the BBC 2 figures John Sergeant's attempt to clone Michael Portillo with Britain's First Photo Album is not yet working.

It is a very similar show to MPs railway treks but I doubt it will run as long. The BBC only seem to have given it a two week trial to see if it can gain the audience of MPs series. I guess it might grow ratings a little by word of mouth.

So far it has been reasonably enjoyable and I had long wondered when the popular (in books, newspapers etc) 'Now and Then' format would appear in a TV version.

That is what this show attempts to do - match a 19th century Frith photo of a location with what John S finds and photographs as he revisits the same spot. He follows a 'route' each day like MP does, but in a car not a train. Whilst interesting it just lacks something and shows what a great presenter Michael Portillo has become as he makes that show the success it is.

ITV done the right thing eventually to move BGT back but they have been so dumb overall. All this fooling around with the scheduling over the last week has given The Voice loads of free press coverage. Bet the bosses at the BBC are laughing their heads off, they got lots of publicity due to itvs ineptitude with scheduling bgt. If itv had put BGT at 8pm straight away in preliminary schedule, the situation wouldnt have got even half the media coverage it has. The Voice v BGT war of words even made it to BBC Radio 4 today.

US Ratings Tuesday March 13

Despite being in repeats CBS was able to tie the night in the demo with both Fox and NBC and picked up a more than comfortable victory with total viewers.

After a shaky start last week Fox's two-hour comedy block hit the rocks in week two. Raising Hope and Teenage Daughter both dropped three tenths on last week with Teenage Daughter hitting a series low. Look for Fox to rethink their plan of putting it on after Idol in a few weeks time. New Girl was also down three tenths and at a series low which will probably be the big concern of the night for Fox. Breaking In was down two tenths.

Over on NBC The Biggest Loser matched last weeks season low but that might be classed as a win by NBC given that it went from 2 hours to 90 minutes. Following on from Biggest Loser the debut of new reality series Fashion Star pulled a 1.6. NBC won't be popping the champagne but it could have been a lot worse.

Running out of a repeat of Last Man Standing Cougar Town continued to drop. It was down another a tenth to a series low. The River dropped two tenths to a series low and Body of Proof was steady vs. its last original episode two weeks ago. On The CW both 90210 and Ringer dropped a tenth.

ABC
8PM: Last Man Standing [r] – 1.3 [5.42]
8:30PM: Cougar Town – 1.4 [4.41]
9PM: The River – 1.3 [4.13]
10PM: Body of Proof – 1.4 [7.28]

CBS
8PM: NCIS [r] – 2.1 [12.71]
9PM: NCIS: LA [r] – 1.9 [11.29]
10PM: Unforgettable [r] – 1.3 [7.27]

Fox
8PM: Raising Hope – 1.8 [4.29]
8:30PM: I Hate My Teenage Daughter – 1.3 [3.52]
9PM: New Girl – 2.7 [5.66]
9:30PM: Breaking In – 1.5 [3.47]

NBC
8PM: The Biggest Loser – 2.0 [6.35]
9:30PM: Fashion Star – 1.6 [4.49]

The CW
8PM: 90210 – 0.6 [1.22]
9PM: Ringer – 0.4 [1.10]

2.6million for CSI yesterday, this is a very big rating for the old dog. It is going to be very hard to replace when it eventually finishes, hope though theres still a few years of mileage left in it.

The 'Young Apprentice' is returning again despite the ratings. Sugar tweeted the following link https://apprentice.fremantlemedia.com/youngapprentice

I suspect it's his payment for staying on the main show.

ITV's plans have worked, they will always have wanted BGT to start at 8pm, and were just trying to get the BBC to push back The Voice as early as possible, which has worked.

It's going to be quite exhausting if this game is played every week, or are week 2 episodes of TV & BGT both an hour, which could play out at 7pm & 8pm with no bother?

The BBC always wanted The Voice is to be at or around 7.00. They haven't achieved anything.
