There isn't much benefit of putting the whole of it on BBC1 or BBC2, people know it's on the red button and on the main channels there's a good chance of it being kicked off or moved or shortened most weeks. If anything it would just cause more people to slag off the Beeb, saying they used to show sport on a Saturday and now they're reduced to just talking about it. And if there's live sport on BBC1, it wouldn't get much and annoy people looking for an alternative.
It's not surprising the red button ratings are higher than on the HD channel, they've only just started showing it on there and it still has a much smaller potential audience than the red button. I'm going to suggest the kind of people who have HD are the kind of people more likely to have Sky Sports anyway. And HD adds nothing to it.

I'm amazed they don't simulcast it on Sky Sports itself anymore, because it's simply illogical to have a football match at lunchtime and one at teatime and then some wrestling and sailing repeats in between. Especially as they simulcast the weeknight ones. Amusing though Jeff is, at the end of the day it is just the football results and Final Score does do the same thing.

Well, at the very least it rendered pointless the regular suggestions here that Sky could buy the World Cup and the Olympics and show them on Pick TV as a promotional vehicle for Sky Sports, because they were happy to take Sky Sports News off Freeview which does nothing but. I dunno how much promotion Sky Sports needs anyway, you know what they show.

Heh, what's been the most popular drama of 2012 so far? It's possibly right to say this has been shown too close to Call The Midwife, but the Beeb have too few dramas capable of over five million viewers to start axing them willy nilly.

It's excellent BBC scheduling, the kind of male interest show that fits perfectly between Top Gear and Match of the Day. People always say they should move MOTD2 to BBC2 but Sundays are a big lads' night on BBC2, they have a great portfolio of shows to put there and they make for a fine alternative to what BBC1 is doing. I'm amazed so few people notice what a great job BBC2 do on Sunday nights and why it's so important they keep Top Gear and MOTD there, Sunday 9pm is a brilliant slot for that channel with a wonderful lead-in and lead-out.

I'm guessing that they'd wait until the show is established as a hit before they start doing Sunday shows, especially as I presume they'd have to be live.
