Great night for Channel 4, especially the digi channels. Crufts ended on an excellent 694,000 for More4, Film4 had 644,000 for Ice Age 3, and Desperate Housewives rose to 774,000 for E4.

Homeland was mostly stable week-on-week, logging 2.28m.

The other 54 million missed a treat. Mostly on the beach I guess.

There has been alot of talk of it in this thread but I can't see DOI or WAH being axed. They are still pulling in good ratings for ITV.

It's the same as the BBC creating a show with celebrities in the Everglades,no one would be fooled as to what they were trying to do.
The Voice, let's call it the BBC X Factor.”

All singing shows will be derivative. Simon Fuller still hasn't fully forgiven Simon Cowell from ripping off Pop Idol. I'd rather the BBC came up with something but they are desperate for another Saturday night hit, somebody created this format and they bought it. Let's see what happens.

rather poor return IMHO. The scheduling of game times has been pretty bad this year. No recognition that Wales are now the in form team hence the climax of Super Saturday next week has them sandwiched between two other games with a mid afternoon KO.

GeorgeS so wants the Six Nations rights doesn't he?

And with the numbers and the demographics, who can blame him!

its just one of those "rare" things i watch on the BBC. Obviously the BBC pay over the odds for it so it will be on the BBC forever as believe it or not the glamour of Italy vs France or Scotland vs. anyone does not recover £3m in add revenues over 2 hours

Tom Jones is going to pull in the viewers and so will Jessie J.

Tom Jones is generally liked by all and Jessie J is loved by young people.

I think 7million plus is easily achievable.

I think BGT will still do well as David Walliams is loved by most people and also Aleesha made a lot of fans from Strictly so they will watch for her.

Alicia was tolerated on SCD, never heard anyone singing her praises, she was by far the weakest link on the show, can't imagine people tuning in for her. David Walliams should be good, he's very amusing, not enough to make me consider watching that crap though. 7million would be an AMAZING start for The Voice, BGT and TXF started much lower.

Robbie is underpredicting and he knows it. It's boring now.

Nothing on last nights Upstairs Downstairs yet?

I wonder if its managed to stay clear of the danger zone...

As for Alesha on BGT. The majority of SCD fans on this forum hated her and rejoiced when she left. I don't think she is half as popular as people would believe. Look at her music career. She has had 3 different albums out, all on different labels, and each one has flopped. Thats not a sign of popularity really is it! As for David Walliams. Nice guy who does alot of charity work but he honestly gives me the creeps. I think Simon has totally messed up with the BGT panel this year.

Going to be awkward for ITV when they show Greece vs Czech Republic in Euro 2012 this summer then, isn't it?

I think you're forgetting that it does fairly well on timeshift, so I think it will come back for a third (perhaps final) series.

Well for showpiece drama and after all the effort bringing it to the screen 4.8 million, and having shipped 2 million immediate viewers in 4 weeks, is sad and poor and I would imagine privately some at the BBC will be very disappointed. Half its problem is that its been born into this period of Downton mania and any shortcomings it has are magnified because of it.
I feel a bit sorry for those involved with it, there seems to be very little affection for UD, viewed almost out of duty because its period drama by those who like the genre. Im sure I read somewhere that a third series had been virtually agreed before the second one ran, but its presumably very expensive and the Beeb might have a tough choice to make, I cant see it ever performing any better.

Timeshift and iPlayer did not really figure in the viewing for Lilies.

Such things are much more important now.

If a 3rd series happens it needs to launch at the exact same time as Call The Midwife. That way it has a strong lead in every week. I don't know why the BBC didn't do that here. Though they probably didn't see Call The Midwife becoming as successful as it has. Wild At Heart having a 30 minute head start has probably kept audiences away rather than anything else.
