Hello, where i live in the Wollescote area of Stourbridge,we have always had a very weak Vodafone signal, and i was wondering if anyone else around my area has had the same issues and like myself, switched network because of this, since the 90's it has been like this and now we are in 2012,there seems no sign of a signal improvement any day soon!,trouble is,my work mobile is on Vodafone and they won't change network just because iam in a poor area,it causes me to miss important calls relating to my job,i have reported this situation to Vodafone, but they are not interested.

They have been giving them away to contract customers spending £30 a month or more as retention.

Even if you have to buy one they are heavily subsidised by Vodafone and have dropped to as little as £20-30.

It sounds like Suresignal is the only way to improve things. If it were your personal mobile you could change, but you are stuck with what your company provides.

If your employer asks Vodafone for a SureSignal device they will get one free as a Vodafone Business customer.

One thing the big networks are very good at is looking after business users.

Ask your boss or head office to contact Vodafone and let us know what happens.

I can imagine SureSignal is a pain in the ass for Business as you have to register every mobile phone you want to use with it and it's limited to a few is it not?

Or is there a much better SureSignal device for businesses?

You can register up to 32 numbers but only 4 simultaneous connections are allowed same as the consumer version and its 3G only.

It seems Vodafone would rather sell you a SureSignal box than provide real coverage these days, also no use if your broadband connection isn't reliable.

I have weakish 2G GPRS and no 3G VF coverage at all here not that far from the OP.

As everyone has said, SureSignal is the way to go. My company just gets them from Vodafone for anyone who lives in a poor signal area and wants one.

To be fair though once you do have 3G coverage they are very fast.

I've got one, and most of the time my upload speed isn't good enough - the person on the other end can't hear me (although I can hear them fine). I'm on 10mb cable.

So if you're thinking of getting one for voice calls, you may wish to consider upgrading your broadband package.

I've just checked and they are £50. I'd buy one if they were substantially less.
