Nettle Tea
my neighbour has been reading about the merits of drinking nettle tea and also something about plantain. She thought it was the big green banana type things you have to fry, but I can remember as a child on our school nature walks having to collect wild flowers and one of the plants we used to find was called plantain - I think they call it greater plantain, and I have it in my lawn!! I looked it up on the internet and found a good article about it and someone suggests eating it instead of cabbage. I've no intention of doing that personally, but it did make me wonder if many people do eat stuff they find growing in the wild. I'm quite happy with blackberries etc but I wouldn't dare eat anything else - except field mushrooms of course.
