Where are the videos of this? The live performances I've seen have been less than fine...

As none of us have heard any new, original material from them yet...

I wouldn't underestimate the Steps fan base. Nostalgia is a powerful thing.

If the songs are right, i.e., pop/dance/europop/eurodance, there is no reason why they won't be successful...in my view. The key is the songs. They need to stay true to themselves. My advice to them would be to stick to uplifting, positive pop and avoid angst ridden, boring ballads.

May I ask what you are implying?

The 'pink pound' is indeed profitable. A lot of artists rely on it...for example Madonna, Alex Burke, Kylie, Sophie Ellis Bexter, JLS, Girls Aloud, Pink!, Dannii and Lady Ga Ga of course.

The tour is clearly successful already given the amount of dates sold out. I think a new album would do well - I presume most of the people that bought the Ultimate Collection would be willing to buy it - I don't see a new single charting too well though. Maybe Top 20 - I'm basing this on Blue's Eurovision single last year after they'd been away a while.

I think the Sky Living TV series could help with success rates.

Im not sure how the album would do, but if the material is strong i cant see why they cant do well, the tour doing well and the ultimate collection selling well show they still have a fanbase, now they just need to build on that and attrract new fans. Steps done some great pop music and there is always a market for pop music so fingers crossed it goes well for them, thats if they even do a new album.

From the "H" cam, acapella during rehearsal for the first Sky Living series.
