Need help finding the title and singer of a song I heard today.

I was in Argos today - very noisy, but there was a song being played which was being sung by a female and it sort of grabbed me. Sounded very similar to ballads sung by Jennifer Hudson or Whitney Houston but it wasn't them. Because it was very noisy in the shop I could only pick up a line of the song which was sung a few times and that was "i'm falling in love with you". I thought that this might be the song title but I have had a look through youtube and I am not coming up with anything. Loads of Elvis versions of "can't help falling in love with you" though Anyone out there able to help?

Just listened to Joss Stone and it's not that. Thanks though for the suggestion.

no, not them either. I think might have to embarrass myself and phone Argos tomorrow and ask them what they were playing. It's totally bugging me now. I'm like a dog with a bone at times LOL

it is annoying when that happens.

Was there anything distinctive about her voice? If not try Mariah Carey or Leona Lewis! :P

I thought it was Whitney Houston at first - sounded very like her. Definitely not Leona Lewis or Mariah Carey. They are instantly recognisable. Can't stand either of them by the way (sounded like one of Whitney Houston' softer ballads)

You must be as bad as me - walking round shops until I hear the whole song. Could it have been Toni Braxton? Not sure what the song is - would need some more lyrics to help you on that one.

I am the same listening to all the top 10s of music and refusing to go to bed until I hear what the number one choice is.
Did the same the other night - 100 top musicals.
Of course Grease was the winner but I sat up to nearly 2.00am watching this.

Could it be Fallin' by Alicia Keys? Not sure if it is, but it's a suggestion.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I phoned the shop and it turns out that the music they play is by up and coming artists. He wasn't in the shop on the Sunday so would be difficult to know what was being played. So I am still in the dark. Was a good song too.

If youve got a smartphone you should download a phone app for Shazam and/or Soundhound.

They both work very well for finding out songs you hear & dont know what they are.

Get in touch with Argos again and ask for a track listing of their shop cd, then get yourself on You Tube.

I did think of doing that but I don't want to come across as some obsessed crazy person (which I am but I don't want them to know that LOL)

To be honest, they won't mind.

I rang Co-Operative radio once to find out the name of a song that was on when I was shopping
