I don't know, I guess it would be perfect to release it tomorrow, granted that it's her birthday (I didn't know that, I'm trusting you on this). I don't know why they chose to release it now, though Wasn't 'Talk That Talk' confirmed as the 3rd single? It has been sent to radio and it's already charting over there. Is 'Birthday Cake' going to be the European single or is 'TTT' scrapped?

I thought it was being released as part of a double release like, "Loud" had with, "Mad Down," & "California King Bed". I wish she would wait a few months when releasing her darn singles.

I think Birthday Cake is just a promo single like Wait Your Turn was. She could never release it, what with the obvious lyrics. It probably won't get sent to radio.

True, but let's be honest here. They have been building buzz for the single even before the album was released!! First, Rihanna tweeted some lyrics, then she said the full song is in the schedule for 2012, then the producers talked about a shocking collaboration and now everyone's talking about it. And aside from the hype machine, I don't think there are many album tracks that get official remixes with surprising guests. Even if it's been done before ( I don't recall any examples), Rihanna has never done it. I think 'BC' is going to be a single...
