Me too! Well it will do what it's intended to do - get loads of publicity and presumably sales (as Chris Brown tends to sell a lot too) but there could obviously be a backlash too.

< My respect and fandom for her before I opened this thread.

< After I opened this thread.

An absolutely idiotic women who's done this for nothing other than press. # Attention seeking to the max and it's just low.

I can't stand him and she annoys me why she is doing this... BUT what a tune.

Tune? It plays some crappy beat that you could make on a mobile phone repeating the words "Cake, Cake, Cake, Cake, Cake... put your name on it?" repeat.

Or have I missed something?

I actually I agree.....I'm in love with everything about the song except CB....although his part does add to the song...but I still can't get over how stupid RiRi is for doing this...

I really liked the song on the album. I wish she had done it with someone else.

I dont think people will care, as its not a shocker but really obvious who would be on it. A big shocker would be Paul Mccartney for example. Not CB, and he doesnt add much IMO. Its just ooh I wanna f['#] you right now, which is what she says. Funnily, its an #epicFail

ok well the fact that you've just hashtagged outside of twitter, aswell as the hashtag being 'epic fail' which was zeitgeist in 2009 for like a week, renders your point invalid. It is a shocker and people do care, as much as it was heavily rumoured, i was still shocked when i found out she'd actually done it.

People will care....and I think that it's a VERY dangerous message for her to be putting out there....this is the guy that beat and bit her 3 years ago and now she's doing a sexjam with him?

Just seems really foolish and damaging on her part. CB doesn't care because he's been taking all the bad publicity, but I have a feeling people may turn on RiRi with this unless she explains herself.

It's a sick song, but CB being on it seems wrong to me....anyone else and it would be straight fire.....why couldn't she pick Trey Songz or something?

I dont get the big deal, she's forgiven him and moved on, and now they're friends again, there is nothing wrong with that, im happy that she has managed to get over it and put her life back together.

Yes he beat on her and all, but she wants publicity and, tbh I don't really care. Yes it supposedly sends a 'bad message' but she's no angel, and this whole beat thing is OTT now. Yes he has rightfully been made a pariah and she still talks to him. Its not a full on sexjam, merely a verse, but no one will see it as that. And its her business, she wants to shock and she will. About their altercation, she's over it and I believe she's forgiven him by the sounds of things, and I bet she still loves him seeing as he was her first love. I don't think it will be a big hit, I don't think its strong enough for that.

If Rihanna singing about putting candles on her back and blowing and Chris saying 'I wanna f*** you right now' doesn't constitute a sexjam to you then what does?

It wouldn't have been so bad if RiRi publicly stated she'd forgiven him and they'd been seen out for a while, but him turning up at her birthday and now this remix all seems rather too sudden...

I don't buy it, and I think she is silly to do this.

Oh Rihanna. You look so dumb right now.

Lyrics are the most disturbing thing imo.

All I can say is, she is totally mental...

Rihanna just did two "Birthday Cake" remixes with Chris Brown.

Looks like Chris put his name on it...
